Wake N Bake Breakfast Company 2 LLC — Restaurant in Pendleton

It was a rough morning here so it's hard to write this bc the food was so good but the service was rough! It was our 2nd time coming here and we drove out of the way because the food was really good last time. We walked in and sat right down despite it being somewhat busy. It took forever for the waitress to address us and even longer for her to bring our drinks. 45 minutes after ordering we still didn't have our food but two other tables that ordered AFTER us got theirs, and keeping two toddlers occupied for 50ish minutes waiting for food is FRUSTRATING. At this point we found out that the waitress was new and she was becoming upset when we asked questions, which wasn't our intention. She rang a few things in wrong so a few things didn't come out right - let's just say I considered walking out a few times. BUTTTTT... the food was SO GOOD; the kids waffle, the fruit & yogurt bowl, the grits, French toast, all of it. And the BEST was "When Pigs Fly" but I subbed fried chicken breast. It was a biscuit with gravy, topped with a chicken breast and sunny side up egg then green onions. EVERYTHING in this dish was delicious!

They apologized for the wait and the food was so delicious which is why I couldn't rate less than 4 stars, but dang that wasn't a great...

Glad we decided to give Wake n Bake a second chance. It was clear the A-team was present on this visit because we were greeted, served drinks in under 3 minutes, offered menus with the drinks, and order taken in under 5 minutes (none of this happened on our first visit).

Tasha was incredibly nice and answered all our questions. Never had to ask for a refill she was on it. My daughter really enjoyed her doughnut and my breakfast plate was promptly served hot and fresh.

Night and day difference. First trip we left after not receiving our drinks after 15 minutes of sitting (and no it was not busy). The waitress we had that day was not smiling nor acted like she cared to have a job. Upon giving a second chance, couldn’t have left happier. The important lesson here was grace and not letting a first impression ruin what could otherwise be great.

We didn't actually eat here. We tried, but they were clearly overwhelmed with the crowd amd didn't know how to handle it.

On the positive, all the people there were doing their best to manage. They always stayed polite and realized they were struggling.

The downside. When we got in, we gave our name and phone number and were told the wait would be about 30-45. After 45 minutes, it was clear that it would likely still be another half hour. As it was packed, we went to wait outside. However, they never called or texted the number we gave. So, we decided to go elsewhere.
