This McDonalds sets the bar. From the outside, it does not look like anything more than a typical McDonalds. HOWEVER, as I entered the building my eyes were met by the beautiful sight of a refined and modernized restaurant. It had a truly sleek look all around that was completed with the technological superiority of automated kiosks for ordering delicious meals. I was warmly greeted as i strolled up to one of the wonderful screens. I was burning with curiosity as I had never seen such a technologically advanced McDonalds before, and was excited to try this wonderful find. I was not dissapointed. The seemless interface made selecting my wholesome meal an easy task, free of any stress or unnecessary effort. To fully ensure my experience was care free, I was even offered assistance by a passing employee who was committed to ensuring a pleasant visit. The practiced integration of human and automated assistance stands out, it seemed practiced but not unnaturally so, a perfect middleground for the best possible experience. Upon placing my order I was able to show myself to a classy raised table and had a seat on the most posh stool my backside has ever been graced with. While I was waiting for my food to be hand delivered by a friendly employee, I was seranaded by the voice of an angel behind the counter, singing the classics of one of America's most successful musicians, Weird Al Yankovic. I was thoroughly impressed with the levels of culture being displayed, and it truly made my visit to this establishment one to remember. In addition to the perfect ambience, the service speed was top notch and my food was quickly brought to my table, delivered with a genuine smile. I cannot speak for the whole menu, but the chicken nuggets and dollar menu hamburger exceeded all expectations. The quality was that of at least a 3 star Michelin restuarant. The burger seared to perfection and still juicy with just the right amount of onions, pickles and ketchup to compliment it. The nuggets, perfectly bite sized and packed with delicious, juicy flavor. Each accompanying sauce complimented the nuggets regardless of their own je ne se quoi, which in itself was so diverse that it inspired awe in me. As I was consuming my meal I was checked on by the staff at multiple well spaced oppotunities that provided me with sense of comfort and care that any other establishment in the resturaunteering business would be envious of. As I wrapped up upon finally finishing my feast, an employee took notice and went out of their way to sincerely wish me a good day. Before exiting the building I made sure to utilize the on site lavatories to prepare for the rest of my journey post McDonalds. My breath was stolen from me as I entered through the doorway. I had never seen such a well kept washroom in my life. It was so clean I would have happily eaten off the floor, and not been concerned about it. In this room I was also treated to an experience that I had never been privy to before in such a place. On the latrines themselves were displayed the water per flush rates in both liters and gallons per flush (3.8 and 1 respectively). This was a beautiful example of all inclusiveness, catering to the needs of anyone and everyone regardless of their measuring system, with a subtle nod to mother earth. A simple reminder that we must care for her too, and be consious of every action we take, down to every flush. I left with a feeling of happiness I had not experienced in a long time, giving me hope for a better tomorrow. Happy as it was, parting was a sweet sorrow, due to my inability to return for the foreseeable future. It left me a changed man, but for the better. It is truly an experience that I would reccomend anyone who has the chance...
Read moreI was the only person in the drive up line at 10:30 am - for a drink only. And there were only 2 cars in the parking lot... After waiting for well over 5 minutes at the speaker, I finally got a response after saying "Hello" ..I specifically told the worker - 1 large diet coke, no ice, and if you can please double up the cup (as I have trouble holding flimsy plastic cups). I got the 'drive forward'..which I did, and proceeded to sit at the first window waiting to pay...again..waiting, waiting, waiting..no employee showed up to take my money. I pulled to the second window - 2 young men both standing there. The first one took my $1.50, and handed me my drink- loaded with ice, and no double cup. The lid wasn't even secured on the cup which proceeded to spill out of the cup all over me. I waited for my 11 cent change. Finally, the employee said, "did you want the change?" I WAS SHOCKED! I told the young man "YES I WANT MY CHANGE." He turned and walked away! I finally had to get the attention of the second young man at the window to get my change. I realize it's only 11 cents but that's not the point. I actually said to this young man WHY his coworker asked if I wanted my change...his response was "he was trying to be accomodating". ACCOMODATING TO WHOM? The owner, who definitely doesn't need my 11 cents, or the employees that get to keep all that extra change? This McDonalds frequently states that they don't have enough help and that's why they are so slow. If that's the case- my advice to the owner is to shut down until you get a full compliment of staff. I know MANY people who have had the same issue as myself. I know I won't go back....
Read moreKeep driving!!!If I could give this zero stars, I would. Worst McDonalds ever. Stopped in on way home from NYC. Ordered through kiosk and selected dine in. Followed instructions and took #tent. Selected pay by card but it only spit out our order and I had to pay at the counter. The girl had to change order and remove the sundae we ordered as they were not offering them at the time. Asked her "do I take my number tent to seat " and received the answer "yes" . Waited, waited and waited finally after about 20 mins I got up to find out somewhere between the order at the kiosk and me paying, my order was changed to a take out order and our food was just sitting there. I had gone up several times but no one was at the counter and no food sitting where I could see. Asked one girl for help and she said she'd ask but then continued putting paper for receipts into order kiosk and when i approached her again she looked at me with familiarity and went back to ask about our order. It was sitting in a bag ! Burgers we burnt ? Burnt McDonald's!?! and when I mentioned the container at counter was out of ketchup, same girl disappeared and came back with 3 packs !?!? Not a box full to fill up their supply. Girl working cash, who clearly changed our order from dine in to take out stood with her back to the lines. Listless and had no sense of urgency to help anyone and was clearly avoiding me. This experience added another 45 or more minutes to our drive home which is a 6-7 hour car ride....
