Tedeschi's Italian Eatery — Restaurant in Pennsylvania

We were seated right away and our server was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. However it took almost 40 min for two sandwiches and they were not exceptionally busy. While other people who were seated after us received entrees, we continued to wait for our sandwiches which was a bit frustrating. Trying to maintain patience our waiter continued running around getting orders serving and getting drinks for people we didn’t want to bother him waiting to grab our card for checkout so we left our tip at the table and proceeded to the register where a girl was doing nothing but leaning on the counter. We tried handing over our receipt to pay and she inquired who are server was that we should return to our table to wait… we kindly inquired can’t we just pay here? No he has a machine that will take it at your table. So once again we waited for our server to come take our credit payment which easily could have been taken at the register. I find it unfair for a server to be running around and expected to do everything from start to finish. Why payments cannot be taken at the register on your way out the door like it used to seems to be an inconvenience for most involved. I’m a very patient person and truly feel for the waiters who are running around like crazy and the person standing at the register doing nothing just tells the customers to go back to their table. While I don't permanently live in Hallstead, my family owns a cabin in the area and I have been visiting the restaurant for over 12 years. I am done wasting my time and money here, just for a big dose of attitude from staff that moves like molasses in January. The food is still good, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant. The experience in every other way, is terrible. They have an outdated menu posted on Google and the prices are almost half of what they are now. They would not honor those prices for me and argued, saying, "Well it's just an old menu". How about you TAKE IT DOWN?? I ordered 2 paninis and an order of chicken fingers and fries and it cost me $37! I did substitute fries for potato chips with one panini, but the regular price is $10.99 for a sandwich and potato chips with sub par lunch meat! (In the online menu, it was marked $6.99) There were no apologies for this, just attitude and defensiveness. Also, it took about 45 minutes for them to make this order. They claimed that the restaurant did not open until noon but on their own website it says they open at 11:30 on the day we were there. Our family has eaten here for a long time and always been satisfied.We have noticed that they have been going down hill for awhile now in both service and food quality,but today was the last straw. My wife and my mother went out today for a ladies day out and decided to eat there. They waited for almost 40 minutes for their food which when it finally arrived was horrible. When my wife sent her so called reuben back the waitress gave her a hard time so she asked to speak to a manager she was greeted by Scott,who only replied with an arrogant attitude and a shrug of his shoulders as if to say so what.
