I’m editing my review because my experience with my first visit was very good. Aside from a man coming in yelling because Dr. Johnson had not returned his calls in weeks. The first issue I personally encountered was when I found out that I had paid the same amount for my medical card as everyone else for her to prescribe me 1/3 of the amount usually recommended. Also, all my prescriptions after a certain date were cancelled. This was brought to my attention each time I have visited a dispensary and they have told me to reach out to her to figure out why that is. After calling several times and not receiving a response for 3 weeks, I finally got ahold of somebody at the desk. She let me know that it “may” be because of my age, I am a liability and she “may” raise it over time yet still never gave me an explanation as to why 9 months out of the year I paid for was cancelled. I am aware age is not the issue as I am 19, over the legal age for medical cannabis in the state of Florida. I have reached out to several other doctors and budtenders that said this should have never been an issue and they have never seen something like this. Regardless, I still haven’t heard a thing from Dr. Johnson until I received a bill from her yesterday!! Haha! It blows my mind how for her to even talk to me or be willing to increase my prescription I have to give her more money. This has been brought to my attention and described to me as THEFT. This place will not be seeing another dime from me. If you would like to be with a RESPONSIVE and helpful doctor to go to with your questions and help you through this process I suggest taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other doctors that care more about your well being...

I, unfortunately, was a patient of Kaya life for almost 2 years. Sheer laziness is the only thing that kept me going back to this place. First and foremost, above everything else, they were disseminating "vote no on 3" propaganda. But let's go through each problem individually. There was the time that Dr. Johnson quite literally argued with me about the temperature that dabs should be taken. During that recertification, they did the order too quickly and canceled out the previous 7 months orders. Fast forward to Dr. Fichter making me produce a dispensation history for him before he would even increase a half an ounce on flower. I had literally just had kidney cancer removed in the previous couple months, and I'm being asked to jump through hoops. But then, get this, they literally didn't even put in the orders for that recert. I was just allowed to expire. I've received invoices from the wrong office; it's negligent at best, incompetent at worst around there. I have had lengthy lengthy discussions with Bethany about the dysfunction going on there. They do not care, they already have a built-in clientele of older people. One of the best things I did this week was leave my physician on the OMMU website and go to Empathic Practice. For several months I’ve been having issues with them. They put limits on me lower than most people (having asked around at depos) and won’t up it. I don’t get enough medication and lost my last job because I was in too much pain to function from not being able to get product. I 100% recommend going to a different doctor. The past several days I’ve called every day trying to get ahold of the doctor because she won’t update my card until we talk. I was told either she would call me or the redemption isnt would call me right back. Neither happened. That was 2 days ago. Now they aren’t even answering my calls or voicemails. I’ve never had such a hard time just getting ahold of a doctor. I tried switching doctors but when I called to ask for the paper work to switch they sent me the new patient paper work. (Embarrassing. To say the least) I’ve talked to people about other doctors they go to to see who I want to switch to and everyone is telling me the amount and frequency of appts here is way more than it should be.
