Ballpark Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Peoria

Fantastic is the best way to describe this place. Coming from a small town there was a touch of home in the atmosphere. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and the young lady behind the register was very helpful in selecting the best options to suit our needs while waiting for our food we happened to grab some beverages and a brownie and the fun high bench seating near the back was the ideal location. While waiting a large group started forming at the tables near the front of the counter and at least 8 people had ordered a large amount. It became immediately apparent that they were regular customers. A young man brought the pizza to my table while sporting a cast. And watching him run around clean tables and serve the guests makes me smile. I know he is a good worker and he knew the group in front of us well which happy customers always come back and he explained he had made sure the same quality was happening even though he may not have been able to complete the order entirely on his own. There was a third gentleman a little older then the previous two that had helped us. I may be assuming but I believe he could have been an owner and it was enthralled to see him working side by side cleaning tables just lile everyone else... I eagerly asked if I was in thier delivery zone and sadly I am not but I will happily drive back every chance I get. Thanks for a wonderful...

I have been to this place a dozen times they have great pizza, wings, and fries. I decided to try something new today, a cheese calzone with pepperoni. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as good as it looked. First when I picked up the calzone it was pretty soft on the outside (thin outer crust) I did ask for extra sauce but I have in the past at other places and it didn’t make a difference on the texture of the calzone. I was also surprised it had ricotta cheese it in, when in the description on the website it said cheese I assumed mozzarella, no where under the cheese calzone it listed what cheese was used. I would probably add that to the description just in case others do not like that type of cheese and will be able to remove it. I am personally not a fan of ricotta cheese it had a lasagna look and texture once I bit into it. Also, I order the combo basket which was delicious, and a 16in pepperoni pizza. I understand not all places can get it right every time, but the description of the calzone and how soft the outer crust was, was not enjoyable and I ordered two unfortunately. After visiting my mother in law at the hospital a. Un h of us went out looking for a dinner that we could enjoy together.

Since we now live out of town there is a lot that has changed that we wanted see, and P83 seemed interesting enough so we headed out that way. What we had no accounted for was that everyone who is in town for spring training was also going to be at P83 for dinner.

Since we did not want to wait an hour plus just to be seated we took off and looked for another option. Pizza was the easy winner and Ballpark Pizza was right on our way.

We got a large pizza and some spicy wings which were prepared quickly. Everything was delicious and we have a good time catching-up with each other and enjoying the great food.

We likely got in here either just before or after a rush, and it looks like they are used to expertly handling crowds.

Everyone in the group agreed that, given the opportunity, we would eat here again. Give it a try and I am sure you will...
