Updated review as of August 2025: I went and tried The Brew Box Company again, and I was so impressed with my experience this time around! I see they have really worked out the kinks from my first visit, and I understand they were new and hadn't really established themselves yet. Today was great though! I was greeted and Kylie was so pleasant and kind and friendly. She made sure to make my latte exactly the way I like it and I LOVED my latte this time around! I also drink only decaf and this is important to me due to health issues, but she made sure I had decaf as well as 1/4 sweet! The vibe was great in here and it was BUSY! That's a great sign. I think the prices now are also very fair and comparable to any other place, but they serve organic and healthier coffee plus other items, so this is such a plus. I love that they have taken feedback and made great strides to improve their business because it really shows and I had an excellent experience this time around which I am so happy about and WILL be returning!
Original review November 2024: We went today and I was very excited about trying Brew Box because I love that have organic coffee. Well, my excitement faded pretty quickly. The coffee shop is so cute but the service was subpar; it took awhile for them to even acknowledge us. Not even a hi or hello or "be right with you". We were ignored for awhile, then finally spoken to. We ordered our drinks and wow, they are pricey! I understand the majority of the items are organic and they are making cleaner coffees but it's a LOT of money compared to similar places. I see they also use a lot of prepackaged items from Costco (Kirkland brand) so they're not really brewing their own. I felt like my latte was so underwhelming too! It didn't have that espresso taste; just an iced coffee taste and that's VERY different. The drink was hot but the ice was cold? I could tell they didn't mix it well, for an iced latte. I was really unimpressed with my latte. Also, I asked for 1/4 sweet on my latte and the girl taking my order said, "Okay, 1/2 sweet." No, those aren't the same thing and I could tell because my latte was way too sweet. My husband didn't really care for his either. It's sad because I wanted to love this place, but we went and had diner coffee with our breakfast elsewhere and it was so much better. What does it say when diner coffee is better than this? I hope they improve and succeed, but I don't think I will...
Read moreFirst thought; great vibes and amazing lighting the second you walk through the door. From bar seating to the patio you’ll find a spot you love at this new local sho. It gives off east valley coffee vibes and believe me we need this in the West Valley. We came mid morning Saturday to a pretty packed house. Good sign right? There were a few people ahead of us so we had an ample amount of time to look over the menu. For the most part everything is organic here and the prices definitely show it. I’ll go more into that a bit later. When we got to the counter to order service was ok. Not great, but not awful. She seemed a little impatient honestly with the few questions. I asked for a cold brew and double checked they had heavy whipping cream to which she said yes. I added a bit of sf vanilla to go with it. My daughter ordered their Green Fantasy which is brown sugar vanilla matcha topped with vanilla cold foam. My son chose the Mocha Dream which is a mocha latte with caramel drizzle and topped with salted caramel cold foam. He’s typically a blended drinker but they do not offer blended drinks besides smoothies. He wasn’t a fan. I at first thought it was just because it was iced, but I tried it. Right away I noticed it was still very warm with little ice. It was a bit too sweet. My cold brew came out different than expected with whipped cream/cold foam whatever it was it definitely wasn’t HWC . I just took one for the team and tasted it. It was pretty good and smooth. Right amount of vanilla. I realized however it is not brewed cold brew in house, but a can. Not saying this was necessarily a bad thing, but was surprised they don’t make it themselves. I’d order it again. My daughter loved her Matcha. She is usually what I call a sipper and it typically takes forever for her to finish a drink. She was the first one done today. They offer food items and their baked goods come from a local bakery (Noble Bread Co). Prices were pretty high for three drinks. With too about $28. I get it’s organic and some specialty, but I wouldn’t come as often for the fancy drinks at that price. It’s what you choose to spend money on though right? To each their own. All in all good vibe, good options and nice space to do a little work or meet up for a fun...
Read moreI will start off by saying that the atmosphere is awesome! Super relaxing and staff are friendly. I hate leaving a bad review because I really wanted and still want to like this cafe. I’ve waited for it to open for months. The food is subpar, to say the least. I had a breakfast sandwich which cost $10 and wasn’t worth more than $5, TOPS. It was $2 worth of ingredients, at most. I had the blueberry iced latte, and the cold foam on top was curdled because it wasn’t made correctly. It just looked icky, but I felt too uncomfortable to say anything. It was completely unappealing. It was also bitter, and not something I want to order again. l learned that the families kids are working there and making the coffee and food. The girl making my latte looked to be a teenager, under 18. The boy making the food looked to be maybe 13-14? That is also unappealing, as I’m not going to spend $10 on a breakfast sandwich that is cooked by a kid. I support family owned business, and absolutely love that the kids are involved, but it needs to be in a support level, not actually making the food and drinks. I spent $45 on 3 drinks and 2 food items. The baked goods aren’t even baked in house or by local businesses. I’ve read from other reviews that they use Kirkland cold brew, which if true, shame on them! I can buy a 12 pack at Costco for the price of 2-3 cans at this cafe. I love Boyers cafe on 99th and Bell, and was hoping that this place would hit the spot like Boyer, but it unfortunately doesn’t. Really disappoints me. I’m writing this review to hopefully help the owners make some changes, such as lowering the prices for the sandwiches, getting baked goods from local bakers or baking themselves, grinding their own coffee/making their own cold brew, and hiring professionals instead of utilizing children to make the food and drinks. If you can’t do that, you have no business running a cafe, especially an...
