We wanted to adventure and try a new place and typically prefer mom and poo small businesses. The outside looks run down, and this doesn't scare us and is normal for the places we enjoy. There are signs posted stating that the bathrooms are not available for customers and another one about food delivery services. The inside looked like they were using the sest for storage. There is a big deep freeze in the front lobby next to the soda cooler. My husband and I each ordered a lunch meal. The woman working was very nice. When we said we would be dining in, she repeated a couple of times that the bathroom wasn't available for customers. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef plate with fried rice and I the shrimp with garlic sauce with white rice. We also order egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and 2 egg rolls. The food was served on paper plates and to go bowls. My husband enjoyed egg drop soup, but the hot and sour was gross. It's super dark, and thick it tastes just like beef bullion paste. The soups came with wonton strips and a decent amount. Each of our lunches was bland. The white rice was needed to choke down the shrimp meal. The sauce was again, super dark and thick, and couldn't taste any garlic. It was also supposed to be spicy, and there was no heat or spicy. The vegetables and shrimp were cooked well and crispy, but the sauce was disgusting. I didn't finish my meal. We paid less than $25 and for the portions is very fare. But we wouldn't recommend eating here. The service was good but to be expected since no one else was there, and it was in the middle of the lunch hour. I am very disappointed in...
Read moreI was unaware that ownership had changed in the past year.
I took my granddaughter for lunch to eat soups. Kind of a tradition that I share with her. It was not the same, at all.
Egg drop soup: pretty good but doesn't have all the cabbage like it used to, which I loved.
Wonton soup: just pork wontons in broth, (pretty good and plenty of meat) but it used to be wor wonton soup with a couple of shrimp, snow peas, broccoli, cabbage and bbq pork. It was heaven to me! I love vegetables.
Hot and sour soup was lukewarm, thickened with cornstarch and not very hot or sour.
The teriyaki chicken skewers were tasty, but I am willing to bet they were deep fried. Maybe they are everywhere, I don't know.
They gave us bottles of water (Costco) which was nice as it was free. The tap water around here tastes terrible. But no glasses to poor it into.
Ambience: Terrible!! Our 4 soups were served in plastic to-go containers, even though we were eating there.
We could clearly hear the ongoing fight going on within my line of sight. The older woman berating the two young male workers in a language I don't understand. Cantonese?
Cost: very reasonable, had the food been better. My 14 year old granddaughter and I shared 4 soups and an order of teriyaki chicken skewers. We did not not order drinks. The bill was just under $14. They must have comped us something because that's too cheap. I didn't look carefully.

Read moreThis place had a short wait time on Doordash so I decided to give it a try. I ordered some wontons, fried rice, and chicken egg foo young. The food was ok, but I've definitely had much better. The wontons were inedible; so over-fried that the filling was a black goo (I don't even know what it was supposed to be) and some hard that I could barely chew it. Had to just throw them away. The chicken egg foo young was decent. The chicken, veggies, and sauce was very flavorful, but the egg foo young patties were a bit mushy inside, despite a nice crispy exterior, and just didn't have a ton of flavor. Overall a mediocre dish. The fried rice was by far the best item. It was actually quite good. Lots of veggies and flavor. Not sure if I'll give them another try some time and sample a different dish, but I don't think I'll ever order the egg foo young...
