K-May Donuts & Bagels — Restaurant in Peoria

You can't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, this place may look rough and almost abandoned, similar to many businesses on Grand Avenue.

However, if you don’t take the time to visit, you’ll regret missing the best donut experience!

I visited the place on a weekend, right after the Sunday rush. When we arrived, there was only one other car in the parking lot. After reading several positive reviews, I was impressed and noted that it can get quite busy at times.

Absolutely love this place it’s family owned and the dad and daughter that work the front work so hard I’ve been coming here for years and will never stop coming when I get the chances too their donuts are so fresh, soft, and delicious. They taste better than any corporate owned business. The only “bad” thing I could say is that I wish they were open on Mondays but it’s totally understandable, everyone deserves a day off. I wish to see them sold out to the point that they get to go home early most days. Anytime I have brought donuts to those who have not tried this place they almost always switch to going to Kmays. I love this donut shop. Been going to this location since back in the day when it was the other chain that encourages "dunking" the tasty treats.

K-May always has fresh, delicious donuts & a good variety to choose from. I've only had the coffee once & it was fantastic too. The people behind the counter there are always nice & patient with me as I pick the ones I want (takes me a while sometimes 😆).

My only two complaints are: 1, I wish they'd allow dine-in again, and 2, I think the cream in their vanilla & chocolate cream filled donuts is way too dry and hard. It's like cake frosting that just came out of the...
