My aunt lived here for 20 years with no problems and I've been in this area since 1990 and am very shocked at how this complex and it's reputation had declined. My daughter moved in 3 months ago and has had nothing but problems and after speaking with other residence who have been here for years it's pretty clear that she is not the only one. She has watched people moving out every week and in the last month there have been at least 10 people who seemed to be gone over night. With over 40 units empty in a matter of months I'm surprised that the latest owner or the property management company do not seem the least bit concerned about what is happening here. Although there are a couple positive comments here, the majority are negative and that does not seem to be a cause for concern. A lot of property improvements going on but if you have no residents left and your reputation plummets then what good are those ammenities. The manager has been rude on 9 out of 10 occasions and maintenance have closed out repairs requests for a simple weatherstripping piece on the front door without even coming to the apt to look at it....at one bedroom apt should not have a $300 electric bill when the thermostat is set at 81 degrees, but even after being reported over and over no one has showed up to fix it after 3 months. With a 10% chance of having a positive experience here...I suggest that you walk the entire complex and not just the entrance to the office, as this is not a good representation of the rest of the complex, get everything in writing and don't expect too much from the staff members. Very sad to have watched this complex deteriorate like this but it does explain why it has been bought and sold so many times in just a few short years.....it may look like a good investment on paper or in pictures the reality is quite the contrary. It's worth the 2 months rent lease break fee to get her out of here and into a place where she actually matters and the tenants are appreciated instead of ignored and looked down on. The complex had safety issues everywhere with large cracks, dips and bumps in the road and common areas and several lampposts are burned out so it's dark and difficult to see at night. The grounds are covered with trash including the maintenance area in the back where there are bags of clothes and broken appliances sitting outside of a fenced area clearly intended for their use. Very disappointing and not much hope for change, apologies or even acknowledgement that there is a problem. If you want to refer to a mission statement or what the company strives for then it seems like the negative feedback comments should be addressed as well as the 2 or 3 positive ones in a sea of negative. Very sad situation.
Finally got my daughter out of here and into a nice place, nicer area and lower rent...including free breakfast Monday through Friday. With 11 illegal lease provisions and zero communication from management, it was easier to get out of the lease then it was to get a repair done . AC company came out and said the unit needed freon....5 mins later there was a 30 degree difference in the air coming out and if the manager would have done this 3 months ago when she was asked to and refused....it would have saved my daughter $600 in APS bills. My guess is that the positive comments are from those who live in the front by the office. They have porch lights, green grass and litter free....lucky them to be able to see at night while walking down the stairs. Not one person communicated with my daughter until 24 hours after the office was served letters regarding the illegal lease provisions and violations.... 13 reasons that a tenant can terminate a lease...... There were 11 in their lease... They are aware of it and done nothing to fix it. Good luck if you're moving here... Ask for a front apartment and don't expect much from any...
Read moreThe new owners and management here lack communication. There idea of a notice to everyone is by putting it on the office door and expect everyone to know the change instead of handing the notice to everyone in there mail box or putting it in between the door and door frame of your apartment. The problem here is ever since new owners and management have taken over they do not give a rent notice on how much to pay. Over here it is not the same every month because the water and sewage is not included in the rent, it fluctuates every month depending on usage so I wait till the end to see if a rent notice will be given. The other thing is the new owners and management do not have a web site set up to take rent payments or a drop box for payments after hours. They have had plenty of time to have this set up. So with that said the management closed the office labor day weekend, the rent is due the first wich was on a Friday, we also have a grace period to the fourth that landed on a monday. I under stand it's the holiday but they should honor the grace period wich they won't do. I would understand the late fee if they had a proper web site to pay the bill or a after hours drop box with they don't. After arguing with the manager about this and explained the old owners and mangers used to do this for it's residence in the past she wouldn't budge and offered for the regional manager to call me. I have checked with her about the regional manager calling to discussed this three times now and I have not received a phone call for him. The manager excuse for this is " we put up a notice a week before labor day weekend" I explained that's not the right way to notify everyone. Not everyone walks by the office doors every day to see a notice. This place seems more concerned about it's image and making look modern when the apartments here are not modern. They should start focusing on communicating because if they had given a notice to everyone not putting it on the door of the office they would have gotten...
Read moreWell I'm going to make this as short as possible because when I post exactly what happened it won't take it. But at the end of the day , Marlena the property manager aka cruella Deville evicted me from my apartment due to Covid19. I just moved in on 3/13/2020 when Covid19 started. My daughter who is 7yrs old was homebound and I was now finding myself out of work. I applied for UI/PUA benefits and rental assistance and all I could do was wait. When I realized I wouldn't have May's rent until it came in I emailed her numerous times for options with no response from her ever. She continued the eviction process to my disbelief. The final court date said to go to the courthouse which I did to be told it would now be telephonic on 6/11/2020. By the time I got in the conference which was like 7 min the judge tells me they already read my case and I was out of luck even though I told him I was on time to the courthouse and had proof. He had me call the main number who told me I have to be out of my apartment in 5 days and couldn't appeal it because I was considered a no show. I am so beside myself that this heartless woman who claims to be a professional would stoop so low as to do this to someone who did everything she was told to do by the government and tried to make arrangements with her to no avail, could possibly be this hateful. Along with this judge who clearly doesn't care either. So now I'm homeless with my 7yr old all because I chose the wrong apartments to move into in the first place. I have many friends in the same financial situation that their landlords are giving them until the end of July who couldn't wait couldn't wait at the chance to throw me out at no fault of my own. A side note she had tacked on $900 in fees as...
