All filler, no thriller. I had seen the $13.99 lunch unlimited sushi deal online and read great reviews about this place, but all the while thinking to myself, "How can they be in business if they only charge that much and it is as good as these people are saying?" I went there today for lunch with high hopes and was met with nothing but disappointment. The fish quality is actually pretty good, but the portion distribution between fish/veggies/rice is terrible and the options were far more limited than I expected! The nigiri options were TERRIBLE. They literally only had 1 actual fish option: tuna. The others were shrimp, egg, I think they had a fish roe, and spicy tuna (which is basically not even nigiri anyway, it is a single piece of a spicy tuna roll). They also limit your nigiri selections to 4 pieces total per person (for both lunch and dinner)!! This was starting to make more sense how they are actually making money, but the roll options seemed okay enough to get us by, especially for that price. We ordered 4 nigiri limit per person and a single roll each. The tuna nigiri was actually good, but the rolls were 90% rice! UGH. The first roll I ordered, their dragon roll, had so little eel that I could barely even see it in the center of the roll, let alone taste it. This trend continued with all of the rolls we proceeded to order. Even the rainbow roll, which is supposed to have pieces of fish on top of the roll, was sparse in fish amount compared to what we are used to getting. The only roll that we ordered that was actually an appropriate amount of fish was the spicy tuna roll, but who wants to eat tuna nigiri and spicy tuna rolls only?!? Overall, I guess it was worth the $13.99 lunch price, but even with the additional dinner options, the tiny amount of fish given in all the rolls and the limit on nigiri would not make dinner worth it (dinner = $19.99, "special dinner" = $23.99, I think). If I want nothing but tuna at lunch sometime, I might go back, but never for dinner and I will go knowing I'm going to...
Read moreStopped while traveling. Both my friend and myself are disabled with an autoimmune neuromuscular disease, along with other medical issues. My friend has serious eating/swallowing difficulties due to her disability. She rarely goes out to eat because it is difficult, time-consuming, embarrassing, and her choices are limited. Sushi is one thing that is manageable and she enjoys. The ingredients are nutritious, tender, tasty, cut small enough to manage, but still solid. Usually her meals are puréed or liquid, which are also difficult to manage. She ordered the all you can eat sushi. She ordered a total of three rolls. When she wanted to order another, they refused her, saying she hadn’t eaten all of the previous sushi. We tried to explain to both the waiter, and then the manager, that she had eaten all of the insides of the sushi, but had left the rice. We explained the eating disability, swallowing - everything. The manager says to her - very loudly - "if you can’t eat rice, then you shouldn’t eat sushi”. He repeated this several times. She was humiliated. I’m angry, and horrified. Anyone that could be so ignorant and arrogant about and towards the disabled should never be in management of any type - especially with customers. Any business that employs such a person doesn’t deserve to be in business, no matter what the quality of the food is. I’ll never go back. I hope you...
Read moreAs soon as I was seated, there was a dirty odor in the room. I stated to my partner I don’t like the smell in here. It smells dirty. She didn’t smell it so I decided to stay in order. We both ordered the lunch specials mine sweet-and-sour chicken hers was Mongolian chicken. The special came with an egg roll, which was virtually flat and extremely greasy, fried rice, which was just a little soy sauce on top of white rice, and a plate of over fried chicken pieces. I was served a bowl of sweet-and-sour sauce with three pieces of small pineapple in it. No onions, no bell pepper no type of vegetables whatsoever on the plate. I question the server and he said that’s how we serve it so I said OK. Try to eat it. It was overdried difficult to chew because it was overdone. The taste was not good either. My partner‘s chicken The dish itself looked really nice when it came out it was spicy. The chicken was juicy looking and it was lots of vegetables, and she had the same flat greasy eggroll which she didn’t even eat, but she said when she tasted the food, it tasted like fish, which was a total turn off, so she ended up eating nothing because of the Flavor tasted funny. Long story short, we tasted everything did not find one single item that tasted good to us I don’t recommend eating here to anyone. I’m sorry, but it just was...
