Sipping on sunshine; thatās what it felt like while visiting house of honey today anyway. For those of you that read my reviews you know I love cold brew and will travel near and far for a good one. This week word of mouth brought me to this cute, bright and oh so friendly new shop in Peoria. I knew instantly Iād love it by the welcome I received and beautiful colors inside. I had not eaten breakfast and knew right away I needed a chocolate croissant. It looked like literal heaven. If those arenāt your thing they also offer muffins, danishes and such. The bakery is a local shop in Avondale. I loved that these local shops support each other. Once I decided on my cold brew and ordered and spoke with the owner and other employee about their lattes and decided to also try a hot honey cinnamon latte which I was told is their top seller. I was pleased to see the shop pretty busy. Tea is a huge sell here and there quite a few people drinking tea out of cute tea pots and of course honey nearby to add to each cup. While I didnāt try any tea this go round Iāll definitely be back with friends for a fun little tea session. My drinks were ready pretty quick and even brought to my table which was so nice as I was enjoying my treat. My cold brew was fabulous and gone pretty quick ha ha. My latte however was so hot I had to wait for quite a while before being able to drink it without burning my tongue. Once it cooled it was so good and I can definitely see why itās so popular. The shop is owned by a local bee keeper and the honey used in the shop is their very own. There are items for purchase like stickers, Candles , honey of course and more. Everything about this place was great. If you enjoy coffee and supporting local this should be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never write reviews but feel inclined to do so given my experience. Iāve heard amazing things about this place, the atmosphere, the service, food and drinks. I decided to try it and the first time I did the owner took my order. She was very short with me when I asked questions about the menu and her attitude made me feel like an inconvenience. The place was pretty busy and there were only two ladies working and I waited tables for years so I totally understood. The pastry and latte I got were amazing! Months later I decided to try it again because a friend recommended their matcha. This time there were 4 ladies working, the tables were full of people who already had drinks but there was no one in line and no orders to be made. The staff was cleaning up from previous orders and talking. This time my husband and I came in and were again greeted with attitude as if we were an inconvenience. I asked for the July special matcha and the lady rudely āThereās two on the menuā. She didnāt smile the entire time and just looked miserable. I honestly donāt know how this place is so busy with customers if they treat them like this. They made my drink wrong, I ordered a matcha off the July menu and they didnāt put the cold foam on top. I didnāt bother asking them to remake it because I didnāt want to deal with the rudeness and attitude. My husband liked his coffee but unfortunately we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre looking for literally the best coffee in the Phoenix area, you need to go to House of Honey. Iām not lying when I say that every time I go, Iām never disappointed with my coffee, and it always makes my day.
Plus, I absolutely love the girls who work hereātheyāre all so sweet and friendly, and they always make me smile when I walk in. You can tell theyāre super passionate about their business, their service, and their coffee, which makes the experience that much better.
The coffee itself is top-notch, and they have monthly menu changes with cool seasonal or themed drinks. They use high-quality coffee beans, and itās these thoughtful little details that make it worth it every single time. Plus, the vibe is always welcoming and relaxed, and the aesthetic is always clean and well thought out.
One of my favorite things is checking out their Instagram to see whatās new on their monthly menu, or just popping in to see what theyāve come up with. The drinks often have a ābeeā or āhoneyā theme, and the shop is so cute with bees, honey, and hives. The best part is that itās not just a themeāthey actually source their honey from their family's local beekeeping business!!
All in all, itās a spot that feels like home, and Iām always happy to support them. I highly recommend it if you want great coffee and a...
