Horrible experience.. do not waste your time. The food is beyond disappointing no flavor or seasoning and the server took my credit card info and used it on $131 apple transaction.. reached out to restaurant and the Manager never contacted us back.

This was our first time at this location. My 8year old son absolutely loves japanese culture and it’s food. He has been doing really great in school and got honor roll award for his good grades. Since I have a newborn baby and my husband works long over night hours, it has been very difficult for us to go out a family. Upon reading the good reviews we thought it was worth the drive ( 45 minutes and even drove past 2 other Japanese steakhouse). We decided to surprise my son and we went out as a family to celebrate and eat at the Teppanyaki table on 11/02… We were the first reservation at 3pm.. they open the doors and a few employees are setting up the tables. An employee brings a rack of glassware behind the host stand and is having a conversation about how last night’s employees left without doing side work at closing time and left dirty dishes at the dish pit… all while we are waiting to be seated at our table. After few minutes our server finally comes out and we finally get sat at the teppanyaki table.. we order our drink/apps… during this entire time there is no music playing. We get our first appetizers and after a while they come around with another set of appetizers . We look for our server and she finally comes out and explained to us at about 30-40 minutes in that their system was down and that’s why it was so quiet and there was no music. She also stated at this point she didn’t know how much or how she was even going to charge us… we had already placed rest of our order for the chef and he ended up showing up closer to 4pm. The chef was very nice and he was trying his best to be entertaining but in the end the food was very bland and flavorless. Our server forgot to place an order for my sons noodles and when the chef was done placing our food on plates our server immediately came back with to go boxes AND OUR DESSERT… with out no warning or asking us if we were ready for it. our kids put their food to the side . She was definitely hinting us to leave .. since their system was still down she wasn’t able to run our credit card so she took it to the back with the manager to see how to go about the situation.. when she comes back she comes and shows me on her personal phone she took a picture of my credit card and told me she will run my credit card when her system comes up and that she’s text me a receipt. I didn’t think it was safe but I wanted to trust her word. We’ll 9pm comes I’m at home and realized I never got the receipt I check my credit card account and realized I’ve been charged an amount higher than I was expecting to pay and on top of that there was a transaction that was made on APPLE.COM $131.15 that was not me!!! I am beyond upset I call the restaurant realized they’re still open and I spoke to CALEB and explained everything that happened he tried to locate my receipt but couldn’t find it for a while and said he’d reach out to his manager to help me with the situation. He let me know they were closing soon so to expect a call or email the next day around 4pm … it is now 11/10 and they have not reached back no call no email.. I’m beyond disappointed to realize that this really happened. I went to out with my family hoping for a good time, good food but instead our food was very basic/mediocre and our server witch I regret not remembered her name took advantage of the WiFi/system being down she overcharged us and used our credit card info to buy $131.00 in Apple gift card I’m guessing. It’s so sad because the place has so much potential but with the employees moving like this is so...

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kasai Japanese Steakhouse! From the moment you walk in, you’re enveloped in a warm, vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. But what truly elevates Kasai above other restaurants is their extraordinary chef, Diego, and the impeccable quality of their food.

Let’s start with Chef Diego. He is nothing short of incredible. Not only is he a master of his craft, but his personality and charisma light up the room. Watching him work at the teppanyaki grill is pure entertainment. His knife skills, fire tricks, and ability to engage with every guest at the table make the dining experience feel so personal. He goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is having a great time. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that energy is infectious. He’s not just preparing a meal—he’s creating memories, and for that, Chef Diego deserves endless praise.

The food itself is spectacular. Every dish is executed with precision and bursting with flavor. From the perfectly seasoned fried rice to the tender cuts of steak, shrimp, and chicken cooked right in front of you, everything was flawless. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly crisp, and the sauces added the perfect complement to every bite. You can taste the quality in every ingredient, and the balance of flavors is something I won’t soon forget.

We had the privilege of attending Kasai’s one-year anniversary celebration, and it was truly a night to remember. The restaurant pulled out all the stops to make the evening special. They offered an amazing deal that made it not only a culinary delight but also a great value. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone celebrating and enjoying themselves. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring every guest felt cared for. The whole event felt like a giant party, and it was clear that Kasai takes pride in making every occasion extraordinary.

Beyond the food and entertainment, the overall experience was seamless. The staff was welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived, and the service throughout the night was impeccable. The restaurant was spotless, and the attention to detail in both the decor and the presentation of the food was top-notch. Every little touch added to the luxurious and celebratory atmosphere.

Kasai Japanese Steakhouse has set the bar impossibly high for teppanyaki dining. The combination of their world-class food, vibrant atmosphere, and outstanding staff—especially Chef Diego—makes this place a must-visit. Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a fun night out, Kasai delivers an experience that you’ll rave about for days.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s more than just a meal, Kasai is it. Thank you, Chef Diego, and the entire team for an unforgettable evening. We can’t wait to come back and create even more amazing memories...

Two of us visited on Easter to celebrate the holiday and anticipated a fun, energetic, vibrant, sociable Teppanyaki experience as we have had at the Scottsdale location for many years now, even when it used to be Sapporo. However, we were dumbfounded at the desolate, ordinally, unexciting atmosphere at the Peoria location. When we arrived, hostess seated us at the Teppanyaki table with one elderly couple already there and serval seats aways from them, so we anticipated more guests arriving. We had just received our bar drinks and appetizers, when the Chef wheeled out his cart and started his presentation, with just us 4 at the Teppanyaki table. Chef was doing his job, but he was just so dull, passionless, unexcited and monotonous to say the least. It was the most C- average, production we have ever experienced at any Teppanyaki or Hibachi restaurant. We looked over quite a few times at the other tables because other Chefs showmanship where somewhat more entertaining than what we had going on right front of us.

Honestly, we were so ecstatic to see that the Peoria location could actually accommodate us and on Easter to celebrate the holiday. We're so familiar to Kasai in Scottsdale and expected the same fun filled conditions but this location was not at all what we're accustomed too. At one point we literally googled searched to see if it was opening day or if maybe we were at the wrong establishment. We absolutely love your Scottsdale location, but the vibe at Peoria and lack of excitement and atmosphere were just so off-putting. Never in the past, have we ever given a second thought at spending an around $250-$300 (for 2 adults) at your establishment because of your unique interactive elements, presentation, ambience, social connection and joyful atmosphere… until now, because it was all so bare minimum. Side note, yes, we still tipped $20 to the Chef and $50 to our server, even if the efforts where basic & minimal, like I've mentioned before it was Easter, a magnificent holiday, and we appreciated people working on a holiday. We tried to have a good time and enjoy our visit but even if the Peoria location is closer to home, I think our next visit will most likely be at your established Scottsdale location. I really do hope things improve and hope the Peoria location takes note of what makes your Scottsdale...

BRAND NEW 🔥 Kasai just opened their second location at Park West shopping center in Peoria! This Japanese Steakhouse is gorgeous and is serving incredible teppanyaki, sushi, and traditional Asian dishes. Not only are you going for the exciting and unforgettable experience but the food here is fantastic. 😋 The teppanyaki is a seven course meal that includes appetizers and dessert. They charge per head and have happy hour available 6 days a week. If you’re not fond of the “dinnertainment” don’t skip out on their regular menu items. They’ve got some spectacular items like Korean Steak Tacos, Kung Pao Tempura Shrimp, and you can’t forget the Hawaiian Pineapple soft-serve to satisfy that sweet tooth! 🍍 Kasai is always a great time! Have you guys been to the new location? Tag a friend, this is a sign to go to a Japanese Steakhouse this weekend. 🍸🌙 Location 📍9824 W Northern Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 ___________________________ arizona, arizona places, restaurants, az foodie, phoenix food culture, arizona food culture, west valley, date night, things to do, date ideas, fun, food, travel
