Immaculate vibes. Decor is on point. Outside looks amazing. Inside wall and ceiling art is impressive. Was able to walk in and get seated immediately. From there is was downhill quite a bit. To be fair, the place has been open two weeks, but they should know what to expect having the Cabin prior to this rebrand. Just too busy to have good service. Drinks were not refilled timely, and ice was not added to ice tea when refilled. Forgot our table as other guests arrived and we're seated at their tables. Despite staff being pleasant, they were simply not staffed for the crowd. Clearly that caused some of the problems, which might make it better in the future. Why do we go back to restaurants? Either service, food, or value must exceed expectations. Service was meh, though friendly and apologetic. Food was not great, with the star of the show, Halibut, severely lacking in quality. Not sure how it was possible to both overcook and undercooked the fried fish. The Brussel sprouts were served luke warm at the same time as the maim courses. Luke warm is being generous - most of the dish was cold. I think of they were staffed more appropriately, a runner could have delivered a hot appetizer. The Cole slaw was inedible. The spicy vodka rigatoni wa great. The prime rib dip was flavorless, but the horseradish shined. The Cheese steak with shaved ribeye and a fried egg was promising but turned out to be highly toast forward, and the egg was cooked beyond medium, so no runny yolk. This sandwich was served hot, like the last of the table items made prior to delivery to the table. There is promise of great food. It did not deliver today. Maybe it will in the future. But we are not likely to return based on the simple fact that the pricing was obscene. $145 for lunch for 4 is disgusting. $25 for fish and chips is insulting based on how hyped up the halibut has been portrayed. And as if it wasn't overpriced enough, the establishment also bases their tip suggestions (starting at 18%) on the total AFTER tax, one of our huge pet peeves. I just don't get it - for this price I'm heading somewhere that has the ability to deliver the elevated experience the price demands. I really wanted to rate the place lower, but I think they may fix the service and food quality issues as they mature. I'm just not dropping $150 for...

My partner and I visited Lazy Bird on Friday, 10/04, and unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing.
We arrived without a reservation around 7 PM and chose to sit at the bar, assuming it would be quicker than waiting for a table based on how many people were dining at the bar. While we understand the bar was busy, it took nearly 20 minutes just to place our drink order, during which time it was very difficult to get any attention from the bartenders.
After receiving our drinks, we made it clear that we were ready to order food. A bartender said they would send someone over. That took another 20 minutes before anyone came to take our food order. We ordered the medium-rare prime rib and the medium-rare coffee-rubbed ribeye.
When the food finally arrivedāafter about 30 more minutesāthe prime rib was extremely rare to the point of being nearly raw, and the ribeye was overcooked to the extreme. It wasnāt medium-rareāit was beyond well-done, dry, and tough. Honestly, the best flavor came from how hungry we were after such a long wait.
We decided not to send the food back, simply because we didnāt want to wait another 20ā30 minutes for replacements. To add to the frustration, the bartenders continued to be inattentive throughout the evening, and we often felt actively avoided.
Despite all of this, we still tipped 20% after taxes, because we understand the service industry can be tough. But this experience was not at all what we expected from a place with Lazy Birdās reputation. We were genuinely excited to try it out, and now we're left feeling disappointed and reluctant to return.
We hope this feedback helps the team improve service and kitchen quality. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a welcome addition to the West Valley! Weāve been patiently waiting for lazy Bird to open and when we had some time away from the kids, we took our opportunity to have an early dinner. we were happy to see the place was quite busy already, but once we were able to find parking and get inside, we were greeted quickly and seated with no weight so that was awesome. Right away I knew Iād love it when I saw Chris Cornell hanging on the wall. You had me at 90s grunge. The layout is similar to the previous restaurant but a little bit more upscale the bar area is nice and with the cozy couches and outdoor seating it would make for a good cocktail hang out with friends once the temperature is cool of course lol. The food menu itself is fairly simple, but they have so many great options and it made it hard to decide. We ended up opting for the jambalaya Alfredo, which sounded interesting as well as a Westside burger with bacon and side salad. I felt like there was a bit of a wait for our food to come out but then again I was so starving. It was probably all in my head. Our server was wonderful, friendly fast gave good recommendations and we never had to wait for a refill their cocktail menu is vast. With so many different drinks to choose from as well as your normal beer options our food was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. The jambalaya Alfredo really hit the spot and I eat it again in a hot second my husband heās kind of a burger snob said it was really good and he enjoyed it. The salad had fresh veggies, good greens and the dressing mix well all in all Iād say this was a five star stop and we canāt wait...
