I went to Office Max to print something and their machines were down. So I decided to go to Michael's (6/25/23) since I remember they do specialty printing and there are no other stores in the area to go, they are far. I wanted a 13x19 inch and 11x14 inch poster printed that included the Japanese alphabet. The lady at the counter in the back was a blonde long hair older lady, she seemed autistic and nothing against that, but she was extremely cruel upon my innocent questions as I really didn't understand what she was telling me. Cutting me off and leading onto trails that made no sense and couldn't give a visual answer regarding wood or whatever she was trying to explain. Anyway she ended up giving no answer I could understand and I walked out with my grandma, she said they lady gave a very NASTY face as we walked out, which I encountered while talking with the lady. She said we don't do specialty printing when it said it right on the wall... Thanks I'll go somewhere else far away from this place. I hope nobody ever goes here and that she gets some kind of training to communicate BETTER. The lady at Office Max with black hair and a nose piercing was SO MUCH NICER and I wish I could have given her...
Read moreThis is the first time I've ever walked out of a craft store empty handed. The place was so untidy, which I get, it's busy and can be hard to stay on top of keeping it tidy sometimes except when I was in the store there were very few people there, hardly any customers and almost no staff and no one seemed to be even trying to tidy or organize.
Added to that was how poorly organized and laid out things were. The embroidery thread was laid out as though to be deliberately confusing. The colours are numbered, why on earth would anyone choose not to lay them out in the numerical order they're intended to be in, it was bizarre and very frustrating trying to find a specific number, when I finally did find the number bin I wanted it was filled with the wrong colour?! I gave up on trying after that. I do wish I had taken photos to show how insane the layout was..
So I tried to get the yarn I wanted instead but it was also laid out really weirdly and was so untidy it looked intentional so I just gave up and left. This location is so close to my house but I will literally never go back there. I'd prefer to go another five miles out of my way to one that isn't...
Read moreNormally, this is my go-to for craft stores. Generally, it has the largest selection of products compared to other Michaels in the area. However, today, a situation that soured my taste will likely make me frequent other locations if this woman is the manager. Teresa, an older lady, was pushing a cart around the store while I (a disabled person) tried to find someone to help. Every time I got close to her, she quickly darted away as if she didn't want to deal with me. When I finally got her to stop, her response was, " Well, yeah. because I dont have it here." It was so short and cut that I couldn't even answer and just walked away. A product that says it is in stock through the website doesn't exist in their store, apparently. It would have been nice to know this long before having to basically chase this woman down to find out. She needs a better attitude and be aware of her surroundings if she wants to work management in...
