Original #1 Brother's Pizza in the NE corner of 75th Ave and Greenway is a better than average local family owned Italian restaurant that after several visits for my family has not dissapointed once. Our standard order is pizza and wings - a standard some people say is not easy to get wrong...I disagree...bad pizza and wings is simply bad pizza and wings and a way to show there's no "pride" in your product. The wings are large and meaty...the sauces have great flavor and is not held back when put on the wings. The pizza is some of the best - many years ago...I was taught pizza should not sag when it's picked up...the best pizza starts with the best crust...the best crust comes out firm and crunchy not wet and soggy...wet and soggy is just never good in any situation. Brother's crust is the firm and crispy variety...you bite into it and there it is...the crunch...the toppings are fresh the cheese melts perfectly. The pasta dishes are simple but made deliciously...the salads the same...simple...like you'd get at home...but fresh and green...not like it's been pre-made and sitting in the cooler for a couple days. The absolute best offering at Brother's Pizza on Greenway above all else is the Customer Service!!! You walk in and you're greeted like family and friends...your order is taken and suggestions made if needed...you're greeted with a smile and leave with a smile the best is that it usually comes with a Thank You...the family running this spot are spot on, they know their business and they know their clientele. Give Original #1 Brother's Pizza at Greenway and 75th a try...it's...
Read moreLots of seating space using double tables in most of the eating area. These tables can be used by separate customers or for one large group. There was nothing outstanding in the way of decor. We had 6 people and used both adjacent tables. Our group ordered one xtra large pizza and two 10 piece wing orders plus drinks for a birthday celebration. Three people ordered beers and it seemed like at least a few premium brands were available. The pizza had a good tasting crust with a crunchy bottom. It was perfectly symmetrical which gave it more of a commissary look but it tasted fine. The cut pieces were rather large so one slice might be enough but for big pizza eaters you may need another pie. Ours wouldn't have been enough for 8 people. Our 'extravaganza' toppings were OK and spaced out well but the mushrooms appeared to be canned - not fresh. Which is not unusual these days. I wouldn't call it a premium pizza but it was very flavorful and pleasant to eat. If the crust was a little thicker and bubbly around the edges and the mushrooms were fresh I would have given the place 4 stars - if the price was reasonable. But not bad for a place to eat pizza with the family if you don't...
Read moreI was not having a great day yesterday. I had tried to order wings from another local spot and due to both long wait times and terrible customer service I ended up at Original #1 Brothers Pizza. I know that lots of places were busy yesterday with the superbowl but the staff here seemed to be enjoying the rush. There was a line when I walked in (they are busy and I had had trouble getting through by phone) but the line moved very quickly and I was greeted with a smile at the counter. I placed my order and it was ready much quicker than any other restaurant had quoted me and even quicker than the lovely gentleman at the counter had quoted me as well. They saved dinner for my family and cheered me up as well. I will not be back to Long Wong's anytime soon. They were incredibly rude even though I was understanding about the busy day their attitude was enough to make me take my business somewhere else. I'm so glad that I did. #1 Brother's will be where I come in the future. My wings were huge, hot and delicious and honestly a bright spot in a less than stellar day thanks to their amazing...
