Bikini Beans Coffee — Restaurant in Peoria

Story Time! So I’m running late for work (typical), my wife shouts out as I’m rushing around, “WANT ME TO POUR YOUR COFFEE?” ( I’m a cold brew plain, black, boring guy so I usually have a batch of home brew in the frigid) I shout back “ITS NOT READY YET, I’ll JUST STOP ON MY WAY IN!” My 5 year old hears this and joins in on the random room shouting, “THE ONE IN THEIR UNDERWEAR!??”

Me-(Poking my head out of the bedroom door) “What did you just say!??”

Wife -(Side eyes) “You heard her!”

5YO- “THE ONE IN THIER UNDERWEAR!!”

Me- Literally so confused as it’s truly been like 10yrs since I’ve been to shop like that (High school they were all the rage) “When have you been there? I’ve never taken you!!”

Wife - (still side eyes) “Mmhummm”

Babysitter - (giggling in the corner) “Uhhh”

Me/Wife - “YOU TOOK HER TO ONE OF THOSE!!??”

Sitter - “Sorry, it’s just Bikini Bean, I told her they are getting ready for the beach. I’m sorry! I just really like their drinks!! They actually have really good Cold Brew”

Me - (now only focused on coffee and not being any later for work) “Wait, you me to tell me that that actually have good coffee??”

Sitter- “Yes! It’s all super good and the staff is really nice”

Me- “And where is this located”

Wife - “Why do you care?”

Me- “I’m late and she said they have good coffee!!”

Wife - “MmHummm”

Long story longer: They legit really do have good cold brew and if your like me ADHD, In Sales, main line me some Caffeine Please, ask for it “Uncut” I’ve now been there 3 days in a row and a 32oz is cheaper than Starbucks or Dutch… 100% better too. Also Try the breakfast!! It’s good too. The staff is bubbly, but not over the top. Classy but fun.

You're being cheated. I have been coming here for months love the coffee. However a few weeks ago the wife and I noticed our orders were not being consistent. I started watching them as they prep our drinks. The past four times I've ordered my drink with 3 shots of expresso but she only dumps in the one container. When asked about it was told she put the third shot in. I explained that only makes two shots at a time so when did you make the third one? I never saw you add more coffee grounds. I also ordered with no foam and have yet to ever get that order. This morning the lady was new that took my order. She even read my order back to me exactly as I asked. Did I get my order no. The normal two shots paid for 3 with foam. I know that they ask at the end if you love it. However for sanitary reasons I refuse to hand any drink back even if it's bad. You take a sip of your coffee and say, "it's not right" they then take it fix it for you stir your flavor in and hand it back. That same stir spoon is then used for everyone else drinks that needs to be mixed. Nope nope nope someone else backwash/germs have now been transferred to that spoon. Sometimes they put it in the what I'm hoping is sanitary solution but 80% of the time they just stir the next drink. If there is one suggestion I might make it's get crew that can listen/read. I really miss the old crew that got shipped to 32 street and bell I had no problems with them. I even drove the extra 8 miles yesterday to see if it was the crew or just Bikini Bean and magically my order...

It would be great if they would listen to the order. Every time something is wrong. To the point I've gotten the wrong drink completely more than a handful of times. Not even just a little slip up like flavor but I order a hot latte and get a large cold iced drink. As I tell them that's not my order they still don't hear me and try handing it to me. This last time I had to tell the lady 10 times as her arm is in my car drink over my lap and I'm not going to grab the drink. She looks at me ands said, "why aren't you taking it". You are literally 6 inches from my face leaning in my car as I'm repeating that's not my order... that's not my order. So glad I almost pay $10 a drink. Been coming here for months now and love the coffee when made right. There are two baristas that when I pull in I know I'm going to get...
