Jersey Johnnys Grill — Restaurant in Pequannock Township

Great hot dogs and burgers all-the-way. Their "chili" sauce is unique, pretty good but just a small step down from Hot Grill in Clifton and Rutt's Hut. Since it's in a convenient location for us so we go there often however. The staff is always nice, the menu is okay and the dining area is okay-er; kinda dated and drab. We only ever order for take-out though. Since we were raised in Paterson, we tend to weigh hot dog places like these guys to the gold standard Libby's, the original Falls View, old Pappy's in Totowa and to a slightly lesser extent, Hot Grill in Clifton. None the less, Jersey Johnny's does a really good job of keeping the Falls View tradition alive. If I could give them three and a half stars I would. We'll probably be there a bunch this summer. If they updated the dining area we might stick around longer. Just saying. I definitely recommend...

DO NOT DOORDASH…. Jersey Johnny’s would usually have a four star rating for their food in general. That is if you go there and pick up your order or eat there. Whatever you do do not use DoorDash or get any delivery. At least not from the Pompton location. I ordered from this location via DoorDash, and was extremely disappointed. On the menu, the hamburgers say that they come with lettuce, onion, and tomato, I got none of that. I got a hamburger that was so burnt and dry, beyond well done and hard…I could’ve used it to play hockey. I will say that the Italian hotdog was not bad, a little bit too much seasoning, but not bad. And the turkey burger was absolutely amazing. They definitely have the best turkey burgers I’ve ever had. But to send me a burger that was inedible...

As a restaurant if you have option between pork and beef .. you should give ya customer the choice it don’t hurt to ask before putting the order in… haven’t ate pork in about 15years and I called before I got there about two mins before I walked in …. The kid at the register is the same person I talk to when I get there I telll him the boil hotdogs he jus told me that was beef because “ they fired dogs are pork and beef mixture “ what he told me … after I told him two water dogs I still recive pork dogs when confronted the kid was nonchalant as if the whole world supposed to eat pork… the older lady didn’t have a problem giving me my money back for the two dogs wasted a whole lunch break messing with “ jersey johnnys “ give your * CUSTOMERS a Option between pork...
