Worst ever! The room smelled like cat urine apologies for being specific but it did. The stsff was pompous n unrealistic but mostly they run an extortion racket. I signed a form saying if i destroy any furniture or carpeting ect.. they could keep my $100 deposit on top of the $125. After checking in at 2am n checking out at 11am my stay consisted of me turning on the TV laying on a made bed n leaving it the same. As far as is it a place to relax go outside maybe swim in the pool that's never open or just look at the stars later at night, or even going out for an after dinner cigarette, i say to that... Good luck getting back inside! And I'm serious. If you are outside the police patrol about twice n hour through the parking lot. Your thinking, "well I'm not doing anything wrong i have nothing to worry about". I'll bet the house if your saying that you've never been to Wayne. The kids i mean police there are a bunch of 20 year old calendar boys that have zero clue what the law is they arrest everyone for in Wayne. They will pull you over for "I'll let you know after i run your license to see if you have a warrant". To this day i still don't know. They will harass you with your family in the car possibly scarring your kids. They will get a sheriff to get a dog to smell your car twice in 1 month. They will not do what police used to do such as, "oh u can't start your car let me try n help". But more like entire shift shows up out if no where saying, " even though you told owner of store you had to leave your car the steering wheel wouldn't unlock you'd be back in morning. Then called 10 min ago saying you were on your way to get car. We've got 4 cars 7 cops here calling it a theft investigation bc it looks like your trying to hot wire the car n your now detained for the next 2 hours while we get the dogs again and it scratched the hell out of your car n the guy who drive yous car as well... Whatever i went off But the cops run this...
Read moreWouldn't stay here againClean and tidy "Location" .. OK so we arrived in June scheduled for a 7 night stay, first we requested a room facing pool, he obliged but said it would have to be a ground floor we thought no prob and great, we were then given our room number, only to find it was facing rear car park, we ask for a change this time not concerned about pool anymore, we were then given a room with standard beautiful full sized window but no privacy curtain (net curtain), and the "not too" clean brown blackout curtain was jammed halfway and would not close fully, we complained and was then put in another room, OMG this room was one of the refurbished room.... Oh BTW the hotel was in process of refurb... This newly refurbed room,1. Toilet seat was not tighned so I nearly broke my *ss, 2. The table (cheap flat packed stuff) was wobbling as the studs had come loose, maintenance came along tightenet to best of his ability, only to have it loosened a day later, this is the table with coffee maker and lamp. 3. Phone did not work in room so was advised by reception that to contact them I would have to call through the external number from my mobile.(bearing in mind I have a UK phone and roaming) Unfortunately for us after 2 nights a group of children (possibly a school trip) moved in the hotel, and they were up and down the corridors late that night. That was it!!! final straw, we complained more and the hotel agreed we had a terrible experience and kindly allowed us a free cancellation for the remaining nights and refunded half the night where the kids were up and down the corridor. We then checked out and went to Candlewood Suites Secaucus OMD What a contrast. Say no more. We might just have been bad lucky and you will all get a better experience, but I sure won't stay there again.Pros.lots of parkingReasonable breakfast Cons:see full body...
Read moreThe staff was even more of a disgrace than the chipped and hair filled bathtub. I have never heard anyone say that's not my fault that's my manager, when they both work for the same company. I was told that the manager was on vacation for a week and wouldn't be available by phone either. No one took ownership of their mistakes and just passed the blame to the manager, empowering no one to satisfy a customer complaint in the absence of said vacationing manager. Furthermore I called the property prior to check in and was misled by their staff in regards to our accommodations. When I told the front desk that I spoke to their coworkers earlier in the day, they denied that phone number belongs to them and tried to blame any third party they could to not take responsibility. Instead of hearing the phone number I dialed and confirming it, they just kept showing me the business card with a different number until I called them in front of them and they answered the phone after lying to me that they were not who I spoke with. The staff is uninformed, rude, and useless. There could have been several ways to rectify the situation, and leaving my infant baby and I sweating in the overly hot lobby with no air conditioning and warm water is a travesty in the hospitality industry. The entire responsibility of a hotel, legally, is to provide a safe place to sleep for the night. Not only did they not provide the proper accommodations for my infant, but made no apologies for it either. If I had my way a legislative body in the state of New Jersey would prohibit them from claiming that they provide a safe place to stay and limit their ability to charge people for this in the future. The inappropriate behavior and the condescending treatment from the staff was insult to injury. I would expect better from a...
