I wanted to write another review, because I revisited Danny Boys, and plan to continue going. I tried a couple of new items and wanted to review them. I tried the oven baked turkey reuben melt, and a new citrus salad that was on the menu. I enjoyed the reuben, although I thought it could use a little more coleslaw. They put coleslaw instead of sauerkraut on theirs, which I actually enjoyed. I asked the waitress about the chicken citrus salad and she said that it had a lot of berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries etc.) and that it looked delicious, although she had not tried it yet. It really didn't have those things, with the exception of strawberries, but it was okay. I personally think it tastes similar, but not quite as good as the DB's Bistro salad, and I was confused as to why it is called citrus; maybe the dressing had a little citrus fruit in it? I'm not sure. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A member of our party was really in the mood for a BBQ "woogie", which they didn't have on the menu, so they put one together just for her. I tried it and it tasted great. We had the wonderful fluffy delicious bread sticks again, as well as the garlic cheese bread. Everything was wonderful and I think that everyone took home leftovers! We had two toddlers with us and both ordered the children's spaghetti and neither would eat it, but that could just be because they were kids being kids. We will definitely be revisiting and recommend everyone...
Read moreIt was a busy night which made all of the staff extremely stressed and rude. I’ve never had such awful service. We asked for a high chair for a car seat, and they told us the ones they had aren’t safe. So we had two options: Put the baby on the floor so everyone can trip over it, or put him on a regular chair which both options seemed more dangerous than using the high chair. Took 40 minutes to get our alcoholic drinks. I promise I’m not exaggerating. Got there at 6:30 and my father in laws Jameson and ginger beer (which was supposed to be Jameson annd ginger ale) got to the table at 7:10. Another 15 after that to order. We tried calling our server over to let her know we were ready, cause ya know we’ve been sitting there for almost an hour at that point, she looks at my grandma and goes “I know, hold on” everyone we came across was rude and unwilling to help, except the lady who actually brought us the food. We were there for a birthday, and started eating the cake before our food got there because we were all hungry and ready to eat. Never stopped by to ask us if we needed anything after the food was delivered, or if it was ok, which it wasn’t because we had multiple orders wrong. She just dropped off the check and said bye. Probably won’t try this location again. The Christmas decorations were AMAZING and the food, even though it came out wrong, was SO GOOD. but I don’t want to risk having the same...
Read moreThis was my first time being at Danny Boys, so maybe I caught an off night, but my experience was abysmal. Since I know life is busy, and it's not always convenient to read a long review, here's a shorter version if thr rant I'd like to write in full: We reserved the party room but didnt have it when we arrived, rude hostess, impatient servers, restaurant ran out of silverware at one point, we had no visit from the manager(s) to explain the reservation mixup, or make apologies for any inconveniences that it caused our party. In fact we saw no visits to any tables even after the silverware issues. The wait staff was left to hang, and deliver the bad news to each new table. We received an abundance of breadsticks, and I'm told there were coupons as well, but it was only after we brought our bad experience to the attention of the wait staff. Nothing was proactively done on the restaurants end until we fussed. We were at one point told that we "needed to be patient" b/c they had a slow bartender that night, and were rushed out of there as quickly as possible after we dined. We had to actually finish our event and a secondary location as the night was ruined by Danny Boy's. One bright spot, and hence the one star, the food was very good...but certainly not good enough to make up...
