Okay, I never do this but my recent stay there so warrants this review. Showed up without reservations on Saturday night and were given a room. Check in was easy and fast and Shawna was super. As we walked to room, we even talked about how pleasant she was. We joked around about a late check out, and she gave it to us. We inquired about the restaurant next door, and she offered to call and make sure it was open because they keep weird hours....When we first walked in the room, it appeared to be clean and in order and was very spacious. I opened the refrigerator and there was stuff in it...oh well, not that big of a deal. I got in the shower and found several pieces of hair in the shower and it was not mine...ugh. Let that slide too. While I was in the shower, my boyfriend pulled back the sheets on the bed and this did it...more hair AND toenail clippings, in the bed, between the sheets. That was more than we could let slide. Upon letting Shawna know, she offered us another room or to come and change the bedding and give us a discount. Considering we were already unpacked, we opted for a change in bedding and never really pushed the discount. Shawna came and made up the bed with fresh linens and said she would tell her boss about it. Upon checkout this morning, much to our surprise, without out our even asking, there was an envelope with our name on it. This hotel refunded us our entire nights stay.....this was a very long review I know, and the point was not the point out the fact that they had a lazy person on their housekeeping staff. The point of this review was to say how the hotel went above and beyond to make it right. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to...
Read moreThe room wasn't cleaned AT ALL. There was coffee on the sink that I easily wiped off with a towel. What I hope was lotion on the floor. Something very sticky (with hair and other things in it) all over the bathroom floor. The jet tub & floor were dirty and clearly not cleaned either (pictures are dark because there were no lights). There was something smeared on the headboard of the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable, like a dorm room mattress that is extremely cheap, old and over-used. The pillows were squished into SMALL squares to make them fluffy, but once you layed on them, they became VERY FLAT rectangles. Their breakfast was like other grab & go meals in other hotels, & only the morning attendant was friendly.
Overall, it was clear that the room had not been cleaned, only restocked and the bed made, which was outrageously uncomfortable. Not to forget to mention that NONE of the employees behind the desk wore MASKS.
P.S. We noticed these issues throughout the night, & did not have the energy to pack & move to another room at 3am. Instead, we wore our shoes to walk around, wiped the headboard & toilet seat with bleach wipes, & showered immediately in our next hotel. So instead of comping the room, they charged us $92 for a normal room rather than the $120, and waived the fee for checking out early.
P.P.S. In response to the owner, the reservation was under Reda Omer. You can see that I did indeed stay there. It was beyond an awful experience, not a "less than superior one." Your money should have been spent on the beds & pillows, instead of "sprucing up" the room. Also, I wish that your maid had done her job, & that your employees had adhered to the Ohio...
Read moreOur family of four was having a hard time finding a place to sleep on our drive back from the East Coast, and had been calling hotels while driving east from 11pm to 4am. We settled on this hotel as it was the only one we could find with availability on last minute notice, and had driven 5 hours longer than planned due to inability to find lodging and were all exhausted beyond belief. They wanted $300, which was obscene for this hotel, but my wife talked them down to about $150. We checked in around 4 or 5am and went to our room. Upon entry, the first thing that stood out to me was the lighting - super bright, like office building bright; not warm and inviting. After making our way in, I found a cup of water sitting on the bedside table, and a women's hair accessory on the floor. Our adjoining door to the room next to us was open, which meant our neighbors had access to our room up to that point if they so desired. There was smeared food on the garbage can, and the bathroom floor was wet (with what I don't know, and don't want to know). The carpeted floor was uneven, with large bulges under it, as if they just laid it over whatever was there before (garbage, towels, who knows?). Exhausted as we were still none of us could stomach sleeping in such a place. We immediately went back down, handed in our keys, and got a credit for what we had just paid for. We wouldn't have slept here even if it was free, even if we were paid to. The fact that we - two exhausted adults and two very irritable children - all preferred to pack back into our car and keep driving at 5am rather than get some MUCH needed sleep here says all you need to know...
