I highly recommend this hotel for the majority of its services. The staff consistently strives to ensure customer satisfaction. During my first three nights, I encountered an issue with my television. After a brief investigation, it was discovered that the cable was not fully inserted, and the staff promptly rectified the problem. As a gesture of apology, they provided me with several complimentary items. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and they made sure to provide me with four extra pillows, two extra blankets as well. I had put these in a special request ahead of time when I was sent an email to register and from my experience generally the hotel once you arrive says that they did not receive any of the information that you pre-registered with, and you have to tell them everything all over again, but here they already knew which was awesome.|The breakfast for the initial two days was exceptional. A dedicated employee diligently ensured that all guests had their breakfast essentials and provided cold bottles of water for convenience. Additionally, she assisted children in preparing their waffles. The hotel also offers convenience bags for those who may not have time for breakfast, containing a bagel, toppings, juice, and fruit. The staff frequently communicates with guests to inquire about their well-being and address any requests.|The pool area was well-maintained, featuring a five-foot deep end. Conveniently, there was a bathroom located within the pool area.|During our stay, we were given the option to select our own room. I opted for the room adjacent to the elevator on the second floor, which conveniently provided access to the ice machine.|The sole complaint I had was regarding housekeeping on the final Tuesday of our stay. Housekeeping typically visits every other day, but on that particular Tuesday, despite the scheduled absence, a staff member was sent to clean the room.|However, we encountered a shortage of staff and breakfast items. Upon arriving at 8 AM, we found that the breakfast station was not stocked appropriately with very minimal fruit, and there was no orange juice, oatmeal, or hard-boiled eggs available. Our plans to engage in laundry, poolside breakfast, and relaxation were disrupted when we were told that there is not a ATM on site and that we would have to go to the nearest gas station. Upon returning , I anticipated finding quarters, but they were unavailable, and the machines only accepted quarters. Consequently, I was compelled to leave once more and seek quarters at a local laundromat.|The quality of the laundry and the drying time were subpar, prompting me to suggest smaller loads for a more efficient wash and quicker dry.(we did clean the lint trap before we started our laundry in the dryer).|Upon checkout, I conversed with the front desk attendant, who informed me that she was the sole employee in the morning due to a coworker’s cancellation. In a gesture of goodwill, she provided us with complimentary snacks on our way to our subsequent destination. Her efforts were commendable, and I appreciate her ability to handle the situation with the available resources.|I trust that management will consider these minor inconveniences when implementing improvements. We would be delighted to return and extend our...
Read moreOn the positive side--decent breakfast, nice and helpful staff and the facilities are adequately nice, although a bit dated.
But this was a Disaster of a hotel stay! The worst of 4 roadtrips across the US in the past two years!
-day 1, I was checked in by a friendly staff member who appeared to be on her first day...she was also dealing with police who had been called on some guests, and a rather rude man on a ladder who was doing some work on a ceiling vent with very loud tools. We could not hear each other and the poor girl was fielding a phone call at the same time, which she could not hear. -successfully checked in, room smelled like dirty laundry. I later identified the old wrinkled shower curtain as the problem. I lived with it. -Day 2 locked out of my room after breakfast...key not working... and nobody was at the desk to assist after ringing the bell for 20 min. The hotel phone rang and went unanswered several times as I waited. I finally flagged down the breakfast worker who didn't know how to log in. Eventually she had to physically go to the Tru Hotel next door (same ownership) and another 15 minutes later a nice man reset my key card. I had now missed the 8AM tour that was the reason I was even at a hotel. -I noticed an email from Hilton Honors a bit later saying my 3 day prepaid reservation had been canceled...I called Hilton Honors to find out who canceled... 45 minute phone call! HH talked to the mgmt of the hotel and discovered that it was the hotel who canceled by mistake. I was concerned they would remove my property from the room while I was out, but I was assured it was fixed and that I would keep my same room. -Later that afternoon someone tried to enter my room with a key as I showered. I had the security lever in place (thank God). They then knocked and shook the door several times. By the time I got to the door they were gone. I went to the desk, nobody there again. Day 3, locked out again. Luckily, there was a nice young man at the desk who informed me that my reservation had been canceled...again!!! He listened patiently and logged in to make sense of what had happened. He was able to find my original reservation, acknowledged the absolute **show I had endured at this Hampton Inn, and offered to comp my stay. (I didn't ask to be comped.) At this point in time I have not been refunded anything from Hampton Inn. Hilton Honors gave me 500 HH points (nothing really) and they questioned whether this hotel should be part of the HH program at all. He told me Hampton Inns are for truckers! 😆 -So I will patiently await my refund or partial refund, although not holding my breath. I'll revise if it ever...
Read moreFirst I'd like to share that I am a Diamond Club Rewards Member and have stayed at other Hamptons recently and have encountered a way better experience. Check-in was amazing and the staff was friendly and very helpful. My room, however, was very dirty. There was a very bad musty smell, the lamps were rusty, wallpaper was peeling off the wall, crumbs were left on the floor from a previous guest, the multiple USB/plug outlet was out of service, and there was dust everywhere. I had to purchase Clorox wipes to wipe everything down. The area leading up to the pool smelled like mildew and the whirlpool was out of service with nasty green algae water in it. There was only a sign on the pool door indicating the broken whirlpool, the whirlpool was not roped off or anything, so anyone could have gotten in it without knowing it was broken. The continental breakfast was extremely disappointing. The ONLY options were cheese omelettes, cold cereal with only 2% cows milk available, whole apples and oranges (as you would find them in a supermarket), banana nut muffins, some other type of muffins (whose container was empty and never refilled), oatmeal, bread (whose container was empty and never refilled), blueberry waffles, and regular waffles (whose container was empty and not refilled while I was there). The tables in the area were very dirty and never wiped down. The area was in disarray, so the overall experience was very bad, especially for a Diamond member. Also, when I text the phone number on the piece of paper that was included with my key cards to request assistance with my room, no one ever responded. Either that phone number needs to be updated or the paper needs to be updated to have that bit of information erased because no one responded to my feedback and request. I gave 3 stars for staff because the staff was very nice, but it doesn't seem that they are able to keep up with their jobs...or are not very effective at completing their job...
