Quite possibly the worst attempt at fast food I have ever seen.
Pulled up to drive thru and no one attempted to take my order ...eventually a guy came out the side door of the drive thru and said something unintelligible (because he was 50 yards away) and followed it by calling me "big dog"
I drove up to the window and the girl opened up the window and I was greeted with blaring rap music from inside. Due to this she couldn't hardly hear me and I couldn't hardly hear her.
I wanted to order the special that was plastered on the menu board with a sticker. She tells me I'll have to order in the app to get the special. I concede and agreed to pull away and order in the app.
I order in the app and it instructs me to pull into a spot. I attempt to, but my truck will not fit into the numbered assigned spot. Again I pull back into the drive thru and await a greeting or response ....you guessed it, I received nothing ...so I pulled up the window again.
I explained to the same girl that we ordered in the app as requested and we're given a spot to park in, but that my truck wouldn't fit in said spot. She then tells me I can pull into any other spot and just update the spot # in the app. I quickly realize this isnt possible after pulling into another spot as she suggested.
My wife sees the "big dog" guy carrying our order in the parking lot. She flags him down and he hands over the orders with every single milk shake cup covered in hot fudge or peanut butter all down the outsides of the cups.
The chicken we received was dry and they failed to give us any of our sauce.
This is NOT the first time we have had a TERRIBLE experience at the Sandusky Sonic. In fact we have never to date had an enjoyable experience..
If I was the OWNER or FRANCHISEE I would be setting up meetings with bankruptcy lawyers because this place has been on a downward spiral for years and has now crashed and the heaping pile is on fire burning to its demise.

First we waited about 10 minutes just to order as the car in front of us waited 15 minutes just to get dipping sauce for their chicken as the workers forgot it before. In addition to this when we did finally get to order the lady who took our order was rude almost like she was annoyed because she had to do her job. To add to this we waited another 10 minutes behind one car which was there for about 15 minutes already. Initially we thought the may have been short staffed but after getting to the window and seeing several workers it was clear that they didn’t care about this job and simply have no care for the customers. The lady at the window was vey rude when taking my change and then rolled her eyes and slammed the window after I was very polite the entire time. Upon receiving the food which was tater tot’s, a chili cheese dog, and bbq popcorn chicken it was easily the worst fast food I had ever seen. The tots were cold and stale while the chili cheese dog was also cold and the chili looked like it was made from mashed beans. The bbq chicken was also stale leaving us to throw away the food right after looking at it. I didn’t even bother to go through and get a refund or my food replaced as I seen the employees did not care and the place seemed very very unwelcoming as if I went back through I would get harassed by the employees or something of that nature. Nevertheless I will never even think about eating at a sonic again as this was a first time experience and simply was not worth any money. I really hope something can change at this location before a bigger deal arises or the health department gets involved because this is just sad. Read moreToday was a new low for customer service. $30.00 for milkshakes last time I had a milkshake it was actual ice cream. Today after waiting 30 minutes and watching 20 cars pull in the drive thru and leave, there was a problem. I walked up to the window and asked where my drinks were. They said oh we’re bringing them out. I noticed an order sitting on the counter when I walked in sure enough it was mine they brought out and I walked back to my vehicle as the server was handing me the drinks every single cup had melted ice cream all over them like 5 year olds made them. The so called milk shakes were at this point literal cups of milk. The server and I headed back into the store. I may be crazy here but if you pay for something you should get exactly what you paid for not a hard concept. I asked to speak to the manager. This guy looks at me and says what do you want me to do about it. Hello I paid for milk shakes not cups of milk. I said I guess make me some new ones or refund me my money. So I went back to the car waited another 10 minutes thinking they were making new shakes. Nope the server comes back and hands me a receipt for a refund. I said I waited here 10 more minutes for you to bring me a piece of paper he says to me the manager says he’s not making you new ones. So back in I went. I asked him for his name because I was making a complaint. This guy says he’s not telling me his name. I’m a little confused by this so I ask 6 more times only to be told the same thing.
