Sandusky Fireworks SuperStore — Local services in Perkins Township

UPDATE Scott made me happy and voiced his decision with the fireworks that would make me happy. My recent purchase I was unhappy and I did take my business elsewhere. Then I posted this review. Scott seen this review and commented to call him. I called him it took me 3 days to get a hold of him (not his fault he's very busy) I proceeded to tell Scott my concern. Scott understood the problem and made it right. Scott is a very good businessman he cares about his customer and he shows his care and tries to take care of their needs as best as he can. Sorry for the 1 star review I just had to make sure I was adamant in getting my point and concern across. I have change my review stars to a 4 star review and not a 5 star review. Not because of Scott but because the employees could have taken care of this issue with having the owner of the company do it for them. But all in all was with the trip. OLD: But still relevant. Became a elite member 1/2 off for three years ($590) spent at once NOT overtime. They stopped the purchased and restarted the purchased to get my half off for being a elite member I spent a total of $1300 for a little bit of fireworks. I did some research online and one mile further I can get ALL price at this store 1/2 off the prices at the other store not to mention the discount the other store gives you on top of the reasonable prices. The other store is a retail store located in between Lima and Findlay do a little research and you'll be able to find them. I called Sandusky fireworks store up ask if they would price match the other store and they said "it depends" I said depends on what? They said if they were a wholesale store or a retail store. Guess what they are a retail store TOO. And they wouldn't let me use my elite member discount with the price match of the other store. The lady I spoke to seemed like she wasn't sure. So I asked if she was sure about the situation. She stated she was "sure about that". Well Sandusky fireworks store you just lost a Elite Member ($590)plus $1300 total sale. I give this place 3 of 5 stars... #1 because of the prices. I live in Sandusky and I drive an hour out of town to shop at a different store. #2 because of coupons, or Lack there of. I even tried taking my coupons from another store to see if they would match them. I was told by an employee they would but when I got to the register the manager said they wouldn't honor the coupons because it was Too much of a discount, go figure haha. #3 because of the selection. Please don't misunderstand, they do have Quality fireworks and quite a bit to choose from. But I stop in here every year, sometimes just to look, and the majority of fireworks are of unknown or limited brands. If you want to spend $500 you can get Top Quality. But if your just trying to have a small show for kids in town, the section is Limited on rockets, fountains, and novelty fireworks. The other store I shop at I can spend $100 on small things and get good quality and at least twice as much! #4 because of the employees. I'm not saying the employees are bad, but I've been Ran into by More employees than other customers, that just aren't paying attention to other shoppers. I think being courteous to someone standing at a shelf looking at the products is easy but I guess it isn't so easy for some. It's not all bad though. For me, this store is a good last minute place to shop because it is so close to where I live. Some of the employees might not have a lot of experience with what's in stock but the store has numerous scanners and screens that will show you a demo of the product. Love this store! the staff is always friendly and helpful. If one person can't answer your question, they send you to someone that can. We went in with a phantom 40% off coupon, and of course it was honored. My adult daughter spent over the required amount for the elite memebership. They gave her the membership even though one of the employees said they were putting a hold on it for the time being. She also bought a t-shirt that was not too bad of price either. We will definately be back. Before going in, we had been in contact with the store through email with a few questions and they were super helpful. The prices are no different than anywhere else we have been, with the exception of being lower than some. The fact that they honor coupons from the big chains is awesome!!
