La Vega Restaurant — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

We reallllly tried to eat the food and give this restaurant credit specially because I’m Latina and I proudly support all my Latin restaurants BUTTTTT this restaurant derserve to be shut down.

So first let’s go down the list of what we ordered Vs. what we got: —-ordered a mofongo de chicharron instead we got mofongo with fat on it. —Ordered beans but the smelled emanating from the container was so potent it’s been over a week and I still have not eaten beans —Ordered arroz con maiz ended up with soggy rice and corn. —Ordered sauce for the mofongo which turn out to be some kind of meat sauce that was 30+ days old. —ordered a morir sonando but instead I got pineapple juice with curdle milk

So overall this restaurant gained $35 dollars for food...

I like their Chicken Chimi. The Beef Chimi is VERY SALTY. Also, their service is TERRIBLE!!!!!! I called to order, the lady kept hanging up on me. I am assuming because she doesn't understand English; asked my co-worker to order for me because she speaks Spanish. When I arrived to pick up my order, no one greeted me or asked me if I ordered or did I want to place an order. I stood there for 10 minutes. When I tried to get one of the worker's attention, she looked at me and kept moving. Not a single word said. A male worker come out sorting orders and asked what did I order. No greeting or nothing. I paid and left. Tonight, I ordered via GrubHub. They're service is still awful. My fries were greasy and stale. I will NEVER patronize La Vega again....

INITIAL visit to this establishment. Unfortunately, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was severely lacking. We were NOT greeted upon entry, nor did we feel welcomed. The staff displayed a noticeable absence of professionalism, indicating a clear disregard for customer satisfaction. We were not informed about the food options displayed in the window, including prices and serving sizes. Instead, we were met with staring and abrupt communication. Regrettably, our inaugural experience was further marred by subpar food quality, which tasted stale and dry. Consequently, we will NOT be returning.
