Tai Heng Restaurant — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

First let me say I have ordered from here just because it was convenient. There is not alot of places that deliver around hopelawn that are inexpensive. The food is at best subpar. They are a hit or miss on most days. I have finally reached my limit with them. They raised the food price ok. But now they want a minimum for delivery $25 and they want to charge an additional $5 delivery fee. Not to mention they want to charge 10 cents per duck sauce. Yeah NO. They lost a customer. Oh!!! And the service over the phone...

If there was a 0 star button I would have pressed that. The customer service was rude and dismissive. I ordered an hour before they closed for delivery to a 10 minute away address, and they told me “the delivery driver didn’t want to come that far” and that if he does “they are charging me a delivery fee and I would have to agree to tip at least 5$”. I called an hour n 10 minutes later after my food had still not arrived n the cashier said he’s on his way and he didn’t want to even come” ....

I had a very disappointing experience with this Chinese restaurant. I placed an order and was told it would arrive in 15 minutes, but it took over an hour to get to me. On top of that, the food arrived cold. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the manager offered to compensate me with just a can of soda—which felt like a slap in the face considering the poor service and cold food. I expected better and am honestly very upset. Definitely not ordering...
