La Hacienda Restaurant — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

I wanted to come leave a review because I know most people like to leave reviews when it's negative, but I want to leave a 5 start review! My office ordered from here from Staten Island because we wanted to try to their food. I called and asked for a manager just so I didn't have to bother the girls who answered the phone lol. We wanted to place a big order. The manager, David was delighted to help us. He made it easy for us to text our order, and asked us questions to make sure our food was 100% correct. We had some confusion on our end with the payment, and they were extremely patient and did not rush us at all. Once the food came, it came hot, organized, labeled with each of my employees name, and the food was absolutely delicious. Not one person had a complaint. A very sweet girl who took my payment when I called her was so nice, making sure to tell me to have a good day and to enjoy our food. All of the workers there are delightful. I ordered chicken tenders with fries for my son a torta de pollo for my daughter and the food is not good at all I only came here to order food for my family because it has almost 5 stars so that has to mean that the food is good and its over 100 reviews so I decided to give it a try and what a big disappointment. I spent 45 dollars for food that is awful my husband is Mexican and this is definitely not Mexican cuisine this is microwave food and I don't think anyone should pay money for food that's going to be thrown in a microwave. My son is highly upset because the chicken is hard and tuff to chew thus proving that is was previously cooked and then thrown in the microwave. I also ordered a tamale de pollo and as you can see in the picture it's also microwave or something the edges are gray like they dried out when it was being warmed up. I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Hacienda Restaurant in Perth Amboy. Let’s start with the star here, the birria tacos. They are amazing! The slow cooked shredded beef, the warm tortillas, and the melted cheese bringing the already delightful experience a step further. Each bite fills your mouth with flavor. The textures and seasoning all compliment each other in a way most restaurants can’t compare. The tacos come 3 in an order which will definitely leave you full and satisfied. It was also served with a side of consommé, which further enhanced the flavors of the tacos. If you love birria tacos this restaurant is a must try, and even if you don’t i’m sure they would make you change your mind.
