Legend's Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Peru

We were so excited to try Legends tonite. It was recommended to us by a few people, and as always a good steak and cocktails were just what our Saturday evening was craving. We called and made reservations. We stood and waited to be seated as the sign said, but after about 6-7 minutes people that walked in behind us were seated. No one even spoke to us. No big deal, things happen and it was busy. A few minutes later, someone asked if we’d been helped, we offered our reservation and she left saying she’d get us taken care of. She never came back and avoided eye contact the rest of the night. Awhile later, “Steve” sat us at a four top until he could get our 6 top ready. About 20 minutes later, we were taken to our table. The menu looked amazing along with the selection of signature co rails. Definitely our kind of place. We got settled in, looked over the menu, discussed what everyone was going to order and watched as two more tables were seated. The first table got their drinks and ordered their food. Steve walked by and we asked him if we could get 5 waters until our waitress arrived. He quickly brought the waters and told us he’d have us taken care of soon and “make it right”. All three servers kept walking by our table over and over again during this entire time since we were right by the kitchen, never making eye contact or caring to wait on us. My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times, the food is GREAT! The ribeye steak is the best I have ever had. My husband loves the burnt ends and burgers. The drinks are tasty also. But the service needs a lot of help. We went last night again and waited 1 hour for hamburgers at 5:30, and the only other table was already eating. So the kitchen should not have been busy. We were seated quickly, got our drinks, and placed our order. Then we sat and watched other people come in get seated order and get food and we were still waiting. Almost got up and left. The food is excellent! Compliments to the chef!

So, we just happened to be in the Peru area antique shopping on a Saturday mid-afternoon. We asked the young ladies working at Pine Creek Mercantile where is a good place to have a drink and a good meal. They recommended we go to Legend's in downtown.

Wow! That was a great suggestion for sure! I had the pork ribeye. It was excellent. My wife had the burnt ends. Her and I shared bites. Both meals were amazing!

I believe our servers name was Kat. She was very friendly and timely when it comes to service.
