Southside Scoops isn’t the place it used to be. The prices keep increasing, yet the quality of service keeps decreasing.

If something is wrong with your order, do not waste your time calling because the teens working will gaslight you instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes.

I have ordered the Scoops Burger plenty of times to know it comes with toppings, as it should come being priced at nearly $5.00! Yet to my surprise, when I got home and opened the wrapper, I received just a plain burger and a bun! NEVER have I gotten a plain burger when I’ve ordered the Scoops Burger. I’ve always been asked if I’d like to add cheese, which I always say no, and the other toppings still come on the burger. The employee didn’t ask anything.

When we called and asked, the employee said the Scoops Burger comes with “nothing” on it. We asked what comes on the plain hamburger, and the employee again said “nothing.” If that is the case.. why do you have burgers listed at different prices if each one comes with nothing? You’re telling me a plain hamburger that comes with nothing only costs $2.35, and a Scoops Burger that you say also comes with nothing, costs $5.00? Sneaky way to scam customers out of money!

Ordering food here is no longer worth the cost. It’s sad to say that the fast food chain places in Peru can get your meals correct more than Southside Scoops can nowadays.

If you want to order from Scoops, stick to ice cream products only. You’ll be disappointed every time...

I know it was a decent day for a lot of people to be out yesterday, however we waited so long which can be normal in better weather at any ice cream place or hot dog stand. What was upsetting was finally getting to the window and then waiting an additional 15 mins and never even talked to like a "we will be right with you or anything." Then because of scheduling, we had to leave to find what looked like a man who supposedly works there with work attire just standing outside talking to someone else. This place has become our go to when we are unable to figure out what else to eat in this town. My wife gets the Scoops Burger with everything including cheese. I get the BBQ sandwich with a slice of cheese and onions. I have tried onion rings or onion petals at the other places in town, but this place has the best onion rings. My only complaint is that I never get enough of them. My wife usually gets the Butter Pecan ice scream, while I get the Apple Cobbler.
