McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Petal

McAlister's Deli has been around for quite a long time! However, the venue in the city of Petal has only been there maybe a year, give or take. I have always ordered the Club sandwich, which comes with a pickle. This time, I got broccoli with cheese as a side, which was not very tasty I must say .. My niece ordered the French Dip Sub, which she really enjoyed. I started to order that, but I figured I'd better stick to what I normally get, and I couldn't go wrong. Rather, this time, the club sandwich wasn't very enticing. My daughter got the BLT, which she enjoyed, and since she doesn't eat very much, we ate some bacon from her plate and the rest of her pickle she didn't want. I believe I'll try something different next time I come. It was rather nice inside, considering the 100° weather we've been having, right after church was out, so during the middle of the day when the sun was beaming straight down on us. So, I will be returning to this place soon...

No one working here can tell you anything about the app or about the specials that you receive via email. The cashier went to ask her manager about my email and when she returned she said that the manager had no idea what I was talking about. I have eaten here several times and it seems as if they just don’t care. Why offer perks if your staff doesn’t know anything about them? They need to be educated. Yesterday no one ever came to our table to check on us or offer a refill. Sad thing is, there were only a couple of people dining there so it wasn’t like they were busy. Love the restaurant & especially their tea. Love to get an Arnold Palmer every time. First time back since a COVID. Ordered online. No problem till I go to pickup. Fist 50 customers were suppose to get a free tea tumbler. I asked if I was 1 of the first 50 & she said that was only first 20. I also ordered a tumbler & she told me they didn’t have any they would refund me but her manager would have to do it later. I had to pay before I got my food, why can’t they just run a credit on my card. Not sure I will bother with them again. It wasn’t the girl’s fault so I did not complain to her.
