These 5 stars are not for Mcdonalds the entity and also not for this location solely. These 5 stars are for the awesome woman who works the drive-thru and even though its been over a year since she has seen me (I no longer work in the area) she recognized me and asked how I have been. She is wonderful and incredibly personable. I absolutely adore her. For all the bad customer service experiences I have had at fast food chains in general, this woman reminds me that sometimes there's a gem buried in that mess and when you manage to sift one out you need to count that blessing no matter how small it may seem. When you get excellent service like this woman provides it feels good and considering the lack of good service out there, you need to appreciate every ounce of great service you get. Its precious and somewhat rare. I used to see her every morning during the week on my way to work, she got to know me so well that I wouldn't even have to order, she would recognize my voice and tell me what I wanted, perfectly every time. She deserves a promotion with a nice substantial raise, a long relaxing vacation and a spectacular retirement when shes ready. She works hard and honestly, shes earned it!!!! I wish the best for her and I hope she knows she is appreciated. Thank you...
Read moreMaybe it was the time at night that I experienced a bit of a let down. This was my first time at this location. I waited at the service counter for quite some time until finally, I chanced yelling back there, that didn't work. There were two people sitting in a booth, seeing I was getting frustrated, they informed me to yell louder, so I did. Ok, here she comes, I proceeded to order 2 cheese burgers, small fries and a coke. How can you screw that up, but it took a long time, again, I waited. Finally the order she handed me. My mistake was to leave without checking what's in the bag? Drove home to discover, a cheese "kind" of burger, the ingredients was plopped to one side, there was a plain burger (good thing I had cheese at home) and the fries were very oily, more than they should be but the Coke was ok, I was sipping it on my way but, no napkins. I'm guessing they wanted to get the heck out of there but when looking at the Google map info from the website, closing time wasn't for another 2 hours. In conclusion, I do pass by this location quite frequently, I've decided that the next time I crave Mickey D's, I'll go during the daytime...
Read moreLong-term Lakeville McDonald's customers are well acquainted with being told they've run out of popular menu items later in the day or claiming the ice cream machine is broken. It seems that this franchise owner would rather stop selling certain items than be forced to throw anything out at the end of the day.
The COVID-19 pandemic hasn't improved this problem. The Corporate website has a COVID-19 FAQ section which states, "in some areas that means, temporarily, having a limited menu to ensure our restaurant teams are delivering a contactless pickup experience in our Drive-Thru, carry out, Mobile Order and Pay on McDonald's Global Mobile App or with McDelivery®. We will continue to evaluate local, state and federal regulations to determine what is best for each area of the country." I call B.S. on that - are they also temporarily lowering prices while they cut back on services? Of course not - McDonald's isn't even cheap anymore. We've started going to the nearby In & Out, 5 Guys, Wendy's or A&W instead - they're much more reliable.
It amazes me that anyone can F-up a McDonald's - their franchise template is...
