Maybe we came on an off day (Saturday around 4) but no one at our table of 6 was impressed with their meals. Everything was pretty bland. The steak in the El Campesino Fajita (pictured) was very tough & inedible although the meal looked appetizing. The only thing we all liked was the Queso, Salsas & Chips. Our waiter was in a hurry & we felt rushed our whole meal. Yet, we had to flag him down on a few occasions to get drinks refilled & it wasn’t super busy at all (if it were busy I’d of understood). The reason why I am not giving 1 star is because despite the blandness of it all, the food was fresh & hot. The portion sizes were good & the prices were decent. Oh & the Grand Margarita was damn good. I’d go back to have Margs, Chips, Salsa & Queso any day but I wouldn’t order a meal here again.

Good Mexican food. Compared to their previous location, this one is much bigger and much nicer. Besides the bar area, they have three other sections for seating. Surprisingly they don't seem to use the fireplace even on a cold evening! Very friendly and efficient staff. Good choices on menu. Portion size was good. Excellent desserts - Churro with ice cream and Fried Ice cream were amazing. Entrance and seating were conveniently accessible by wheel chair. Restroom were a little challenging to access with electric wheel chair. Too many sharp turns and tight spaces.

May 2024 :

What is going on with this place? Stopped in for lunch, and the food was absolutely AWFUL!!!

Ordered two lunch specials. One featured a Chile Relleno and Taco. The Chile Relleno came as half of a boiled green bell pepper filled with unseasoned ground beef. What happened to the Poblano pepper? To the egg batter? To seasoning anything?

The taco was cold. We sent it back. The waiter brought another one over right away. That tells me they were already made and sitting in the kitchen. At least in this one, the chicken was warm. On the other hand, it was also tasteless. It was apparently cooked in water and then shredded. Hello!? Flavors are needed!!!!

The other special featured a chicken burrito stuffed with the same flavorless chicken filling and nothing else. There was a red sauce on top of the burrito. The special also came with a bean tostada. Again, where was the seasoning?

The most flavorful part of the meal were the complimentary chips and salsa provided when we sat down. Thankfully there were three hot sauce bottles on the table as half of one of them went into our two dishes.

The server was good and handled the cold taco appropriately. He checked on us frequently and I cannot blame him for bad kitchen practices.

With food this terrible, we are not planning on coming back.

Sept 2021 update -- Bottom line, this is a new location that's been open for three weeks when we visited. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food is the same as it was.

With the new location having opened up, we gathered a few friends, and tried it out. As mentioned above, this is the same place, just moved slightly northwards. They took over an existing building and made a few changes to it. The biggest one was that they took out the wall that used to separate the bar from the parking lot and replaced it with three garage doors. This made the bar area much more open and bright. It also allows for rolling up the doors to allow for fresh air to come in and to give the appearance of outdoor seating when the weather allows. Other than that, they only replaced the furnishings and repainted the interior, so if you were familiar with what it looked like before, you will find your way with no problems.

The servers were quick, efficient, personable and friendly. There were almost no delays even though the place was packed. There was one miscommunication on the salsa, but it was quickly taken care of by our main server, so this does not even rate a complaint.

The food? Since there were five of us, we each ordered different things from different parts of the menu. While we were not exactly disappointed, this was the same menu and the same dishes as the previous location had. It is not bad, but it's not the best in town. It is also far better than some other places I can name, so this is not a knock on them by any means.

Our total bill came to $30 per person which included the meal, margaritas and tip. Not too bad. It was interesting to note though, that they charge $1.50 for each additional basket of tortilla chips beyond the first complimentary one. Hmmm....

2017 -- All the standards In an expansive menu. Service is very nice. But the food quality is...

FOOD POISONING!! Went to a late lunch/early dinner on Friday Oct 4 with a total of six people and the 2 of us that ordered the pork have been as sick as can be about a day later. Confirmed food borne illness from the doctor. I reached out to the restaurant and they said they would pass along the message and emailed the address listed on there website. I was very friendly with this with the understanding "you cant fix what you dont know is a problem"... but after no response for several days (not even a "we will look into it" sort of thing) its time to kindly inform the public.

This used to be my families favorite mexican restaurant but since they changed management it is awful. The food appears to be premade, not cooked completely fresh. The chicken is literally boiled with no seasoning. The beef is just odd... i would say its also boiled with no seasoning but more closely resembles dog food (I promise I am not exaggerating to be mean). The pork was decent and the salsa is good.

Needless to say we will...

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant! We used the online menu to call in an order. I ordered the chile relleno plate and my husband drives to pick up the food and brings home a meat stuffed bell pepper. First off I don't eat meat so I couldn't keep the $17 bell pepper even if I wanted to! The fact that I called in to explain the issue and was argued with about the bell pepper being a chile relleno just blew my mind. She kept saying "well the menu says" the online menu doesn't have descriptions then she said it was my fault for not asking. I am from NM I know a chile relleno and it's a disgrace to call a bell pepper cut in half with hamburger as such. I went to get the chile poblano plate which they said I should have ordered and I'll say it did taste okay but after all that drama and her arguing with me in front of customers I will never go back or recommend them! Service is...
