Bojangles — Restaurant in Petersburg

Traveling through from New England to Florida, as I do every summer for the past 10 years. Decided to stop at one of the hotels up the road. Went to Bojangles for a quick bite because it is locates just a 5 minute drive from our hotel which was directly off the highway going south. Outside the Bojangles location is sleek, modern and clean but the inside is dated, dirty and has a weird funky smell. The staff, which was 4 women and 1 man who I think was the manager all contributed in some way with my order. All of the women were the least bit concerned with the customer and more with their personal lives. The man (manager) was the only 1 who greeted me. They looked at me & the 2 other travelers who were already there ordering when I arrived like we were aliens. You can clearly tell they did not like tourists. Actually I thought this who area didny care for out of towners. The food was incorrect, overpriced and not fresh one bit. The fries were the worst part. So damn salty I was coughing after 2 of them. I couldnt even eat more than a couple bits of my chicken sandwich and my fiance never ate his salad because it looked slimy and wilted. I wouldn't stop at this location again. The only time.i even seen the staff smile or get excited was when one of their friends came in, then they let her cut the line of people who were behind me but didnt order yet and literally have a full out convo for almost 10 minutes before even acknowledging the other customers....

Placed an order at 8:pm 2 hrs before close Tuesday July 6th via uber eats . My delivery driver got there around 9:20 and informed me bojangles told her that they didn't have an order (of which I had been charged for) so I called the store and after several attempts I was answered rather rudly by someone whom didn't even give me their name I explained the situation and she tells me they have no order and then told me the current time which I explained was why I was calling they had over an hr an a half to make the order then tells the uber driver they don't have one and after all that tells me there was no uber driver ever there which I know is a lie because I saw the uber driver there on the GPS while she was texting me what the bojangles associate was telling her, so yet another lie and she gos on to tell me if i want a refund that I'd have to contact uber eats and then reiterated the current time as if she was saying I refuse to take make an order, after I get off the phone my order was magically canceled by bojangles. Which just confirms she was lying start to finish and her being the lazy person she is, just didn't want to do the job she's being paid to do because you have to go into the system to cancel an order from uber eats via the bojangles pos she figured she'd wait around until near close lie about the order and just cancel it. People like her need to find a diff job this is...

**Update my last review was from 10 months ago, decided to give them another try and this location is still a mess. The wait in the drive through was crazy long. I finally got to the intercom, and repeated my order loud and clear several times and still the associate had difficulties in interpreting the order. I ask for her to repeat it back to me an reiterate which pieces of chicken I want in my order to ensure no mistakes. Not only did I get the incorrect pieces (realizing this after driving off), but my side item was incorrect and one of the sodas I ordered was just a little more than half way filled. I didn't even drink it for fear, it possibly belonged to someone else that had started drinking it. The only positive I have to say, is the biscuit was good. Don't waste your time, too inefficient, accuracy is poor, and the chicken is on the tasteless side. I won't be making this mistake again.

Former Review My, my, my it's been awhile since i have seen that much unorganized chaos. Long waits, employees reprimanding each other in front of customers, confusion on orders, employees talking about "he said not to serve the old ones" . No computer system just calling orders on a loud speaker. My visit was wild and wayyyy too long of a wait. Breakfast biscuits were not so fresh, but flavor was good. Please get...
