Taste of China — Restaurant in Petersburg

I have been going here for over 20 years and the food has always been good. I ordered dinner Saturday night and noticed right away that it was not the same person answering the phone. My daughter picked up the order and asked about the couple that had been there. The lady told them they retired and they are running the restaurant now. I ordered my usual chicken lo mein combination and some wonton soup. The soup was the worst! It had the color but had 0 taste. I couldn’t even eat it. The lo mein was good. The portion size was much smaller than it used to be, but it wasn’t bad. The fried rice was good too. The eggroll was good too but just doesn’t taste quite the same. My daughter got the egg drop soup and hers was as bad as mine. No taste. I’m so sad the owners have left. So I used to come here regularly. Up until about 4 months ago. Today I noticed the chicken tasted off it tasted strongly of dish soap. I called and asked for a remake of JUST the chicken not the rice or egg roll. The owner (I assume seeing she's always there) started going off on me saying "I don't know what the food taste like". I go there about twice a week. This time it just tasted absolutely wrong. I didn't ask for a refund originally, until AFTER she started going off on me about "the food is ok". I went back to the restaurant (drove) where I got berated about asking JUST for fresh chicken. I eventually left with no refund or remake. I just threw it away. No refund No remake. All I got was excuses and the cops threatened to be called. NO I DIDN'T RAISE MY VOICE NOR ACT...

I've been going to this restaurant for the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. I usually order the same thing. I have raved about this Chinese Restaurant as the best I've ever had. My family members would come from Richmond to order at this restaurant. We got dinner from here this past Wednesday and immediately when I opened the container of my food I knew something wasn't prepared as previously. My General Tso combo box wasn't what I was used to. The chicken had no sauce on it which it always had like a red sweet sauce on it. Very, very disappointed with this....I may try 1 more time, however if not prepared like it normally was previously I will no longer patronize this establishment..Sorry that the other 2...
