Dine in review: Had dinner with friends here and we loved it. The ambience is simple and nice although the tables were a little wobbly, which I did not like (many of us came close to spilling water many times because of how much the tables would sway). Service was polite, and prompt for the most part. I got the pad woon sen and it was delicious - the soy bean noodles were great! We also got the vegetable egg fried rolls and the tofu, soft rolls as well as several other starters which we all liked. The Khao Soii was by far everyone’s favorite - the curry flavor was excellent and I really wish there was a vegetarian option for it. A friend got the green curry and it was great. They did mix up our papaya salad order and served it with anchovy, even though we ask for it without.
Something we did not like, was the blueberry iced tea, which was very weird in its taste, and the Thai iced tea was also surprisingly and rather weirdly smoky in its flavor.
Older review (DoorDash): Haven’t dined in yet at the restaurant but we ordered delivery on DoorDash and the Thai curries were so good! Creamy and delicious. I got the green curry and loved it - it had a good mix of vegetables. Came with good jasmine rice. Really big portion sizes, we ate it over two meals and a little more. Plenty of veg options...
Read moreI’m glad there’s a great Thai restaurant that opened near by.
Good food with a decent amount of variety without being overwhelming, which is a good sign. The Thai tea is not obnoxiously sweet and not too rich. I think the jasmine rice was a little dry and the ground beef was on the chewy side, but it seemed like the kitchen was swamped with orders, so it’s not a big deal. It was nice seeing fried chicken being a protein option for some of the dishes. The fried chicken (served like it’s katsu) was crispy and tender. I feel like I don’t see that at most other Thai restaurants around ATX (but I could be wrong- I eat Thai food maybe once every few months)
The restaurant staff managed well despite us coming in a large group without a reservation. There was a mixup for the fried rice dishes at our table, but honestly that’s on us for not paying attention to what we ordered.
The decor is nice and the dishes are plated well. The fried appetizers were served in a cute decorative fry basket.
I’ll definitely be coming back to try more things...
Read moreWe ordered from Barnyen on Uber Eats and were absolutely thrilled with our experience! We had the Green Curry with chicken, chicken fried rice, and the 4’O’clock sampler, and everything was delicious. The curry was rich and flavorful, with perfectly balanced veggies and chicken. My husband enjoyed the fried rice but noted the onions were a bit too large for his liking—maybe a finer chop would make it perfect.
Now, let’s talk about the 4’O’clock sampler—it’s an absolute must! From the cheese rolls to the chicken satay, every bite was bursting with flavor. The presentation was what really blew us away—the food was beautifully arranged and looked almost too good to eat. And yes, we did take a picture of the sampler, but full disclosure, some items were missing… we got a little hungry and couldn’t wait! Ha ha ha!
We were watching the championship game, and this sampler was the ultimate party favor. Delivery was on time, and the food arrived hot and ready to devour. We can’t wait to order from...
