This location totally failed! Too bad they didn't spend some money on customer service when they recently remodeled this location. There was only one person on register during the dinner rush. Some people had to wait 30 minutes to get their food. We were lucky, we didn’t have to wait 30 minutes, but it did take a while. We placed our order for chicken nugget kids meal w/apples and quarter pounder meal. After placing order, I was not handed a cup for my drink, I had to wait until I got my food and still had to ask for the cup along with the milk that I ordered. Went to sit down, but table and seating were sticky. Tried to obtain water from soda station to wipe everything down, but no water was identifiable on soda station. Pushed a button we thought might be water, but nothing happened and it, too, was sticky. The drink station was littered with trash. When we got our food, my kid was given a gogurt instead of apples. Went back to the register and was told they didn't have any apples. Why didn't they tell me that when we ordered? We still gave them the gogurt back. I was offered more fries. no thanks! Had we known, we might have chosen to hit the next mcdonalds down the road. The toys that were on display were not what they were handing out. My 5 year old even asked them why they didn't match up. We were told they weren't doing those toys anymore. She asked why they still had them in the case… no answer. We didn't receive our sauce for the nuggets. There were no little cups for ketchup. Asked at the counter for the small cups and they said they could give me ketchup packets. This was no different than squirting it on something, which is what we were trying to avoid in the first place. After we ate, we played on the playscape. The table that was available in there, was nasty and hadn’t been wiped down either. The single trash can in that area was overflowing. One employee came in there once and looked around, I told her she could wipe the table I was at so she did, but she didn’t bother to attend to the trash. The remodeled playscape is way too small. My 5 year old even said it was small and “tight”. She is a skinny kid. She couldn’t even pass another kid because it was so tight in space. The rolling thing that you put in the like a log to run on is just asking for injuries. I cringed everytime she got on it. I just knew we would be going home with a sprained ankle. Luckily, we didn’t. The kiddo said this playscape was boring. Finally, there was no hand sanitizer or wipes to use once we were done. Thankfully, I had some in my purse. We went out of our way to go to this mcdonalds because it was newly redone and thought we would give it a try. I am sorry that we did....
Read moreThis McDonald's had signs up inside, warning that some Monopoly menu items might not come with the Monopoly piece peel, but hashbrowns weren't listed on the sign, so I got two for breakfast.
These, thankfully, came with Monopoly piece. Unfortunately, I got two property pieces that I already had, Baltic Avenue and Indiana Avenue.
This McDonald's had working outlets, so customers can charge their phones, or use their laptops, like at all decent Starbucks. I used one to charge my phone, while passing time, between job app shifts.
Most McDonald's locations in Austin, where I normally am, have become cold-hearded, and impractical, when it comes to the outlet issue, as many outlets have been sealed up. Perhaps, their aim has been to ward off the homeless population, and to discourage them from hanging around to charge their phones. This is silly, because homeless people, often, still have some money to spend, and they would be more inclined to spend more, if they could stay longer to charge their phones.
I use the bus to travel around, and my phone's battery regularly runs low, so I appreciate being able to charge my phone, when I am at a restaurant, and I notice, when they have sealed off their outlets, due to this.
This location, also, had cute art on their bathroom doors, and no number locks on them.
Number locks were added to the bathroom doors of many businesses, during the plandemic; the better business owners did not follow this trend, however.
At several Austin locations, the gangstalkers have gotten McDonald's staff to intentionally give me the wrong dipping sauce (Honey Mustard, instead of Honey), or regular Coke, instead of diet.
The staff, here, got my order right. I was never given anything that I didn't order.
There was no gangstalking harassment of any kind, from other customers, or staff.
If you have kids, or are babysitting, you may particularly appreciate that there is an indoor playground, at this location.
I can't think of anything bad to say about...
Read moreI hadn't even opened the door when an employee, being chased by a friend, strew open the door and ran away from the place playing. "Okay?" I thought.
And then, upon entering the place, I was taken aback by how dirty it was. The trash hadn't been thrown away and despite there being an employee having lunch, she was too engrossed in her social conversation with her friends to do anything about the food piled up on top of the trash. Additionally, on my way to the restroom there was lettuce strewn on the floor, bobby pins on the restroom floor, and hair around the sink.
Perhaps this area of the McDonalds was the exception? No. The soda fountain area and the trash cans by the ordering place were even worse. Absolutely disgusting and complete disregard for hygiene. None of the workers seemed at all concerned about it behind the registrar. If this is how dirty it was in public sight, how could it be by the food prep?
Maybe customer service might be better? No. I ordered a small dipped cone. Nothing big. Nothing hard. When I received it, the chocolate was dripping all over the cone and on the napkin she had wrapped it in. The woman who had helped me hadn't even been considerate enough to wipe it for a clean presentation. I asked her for a new one. I didn't want it dripping on me. Annoyed, she spoke to her co-worker in Spanish who agreed with her that the next one would be the same so why was I complaining. I almost told them I understood them full well but decided to hold back. I will have my conversation with a regional manager instead. Judging from the poor ratings of this location, it has not been addressed by the manager and I would advise anyone else looking for a quick snack to...
