Red's Smoking BBQ — Restaurant in Pflugerville

I created this spot on the map when I noticed it didn't show up on Google! I NEVER write reviews but this spot was so good and hard to find that I had to jump on here to rate this one. The people running this thing are probably the friendliest family ever. Super courteous and helpful in making selections. Even offered us samples of their creamed corn. Apparently they've been making brisket for over 15 years at their home and just up and decided to open a food truck outside. They have other offerings but the brisket is incredible. I got a sandwich and it was some of the best brisket I've ever had. A few other in the group got the brisket stuffed potato which made me think if I ever make it back there that is what I'll be going for. I only realized this by reading one of the reviews, so giving an alert that it’s CASH ONLY. I don’t carry cash so good to know. Also good to know that it’s a food truck in someone’s yard. Adorable as heck, but I know I’d be confused if I wasn’t expecting that. This family was so sweet, and the wait wasn’t too bad, but you can call in your order if you’re in a rush. Food was overall great! Potato salad was well seasoned and not too wet like others. Beans were flavorful and not too sweet. Cream corn was a bit runny for my taste; I like it thicker. Brisket was a little lean and dry, but the sausage and pulled pork were perfect! They have two tables on the lawn to eat “in”. We just left there with 2 3meat plates. Brisket,sausage and pork ribs. Plus fries and potato salad. When I tell you this place SCHAMCKS!! The BBQ alone didn't really need anything it was good plain. But that sauce! It's definitely homemade and when added to the meat! chefs kiss Im usually a remove the fat type person but this fat had falvor to it too. I ate it all! N got super full off the plate. The owner/chef is a kind hearted person he definitely does his thing on the pit. I'd been sleeping on this place but now I'm awake! Lol! It was very filling.
