Was in the mood some mom and pop authentic Mexican for breakfast. Based on the reviews I figured I couldn't go wrong. First of, just to warn you the trailer is tucked right next to a trash dumpster so its not the best spot to sit and eat. You will be swatting flies and fighting foul smells. Ordered chilaquiles, Carne asada, beans and rice plate and a chicharron taco. Both plates came out and food was hot. Chilaquiles green sauce was ok. Lacked flavor so I had to add a little salt to help the flavor. After a few bites I realized there was no egg so I went back up to ask for my eggs. She quickly cooked up two eggs and handed it to me on a plate. While at the window I asked about my taco and she nodded and quickly made the taco. After a few missing items I came to a conclusion she never wrote down my order and was forgetting items. Still I was ok and she did quickly make things right. Went to pay and was charge more than what I expected from the price list shown on the side of the trailer. Left kinda disappointed with the whole experience for I felt I paid extra for their own mistakes. Hate to give a 3 star rating for they were very nice but 3 stars is very generous for...
Read moreExcellent!!! I took a chance today, in search of tacos that don’t cost $5ea. Tacos la Guerra is just what I’ve always wanted, affordable tacos that taste like home/ made with love.
I stepped up hoping I had enough money to fill my tummy, I overestimated the cost and left my change in the tip jar. Wow! The woman in the window was kind and prompt, the salsas were flavorful, and the tacos were perfect in flavor and texture, no notes!!
I had barbacoa and chorizo/egg and a sandía agua fresca. and I was so happy to unwrap and eat them. I’ve found THE Taco place in pflugerville. I hope they keep their menu and prices the same. They’ve got some covered bench’s if you want to sit and eat.
It’s only 8 minutes from me but I’d drive 15-30 minutes for these. Skip the chain taco place and come here, the others just...
Read moreI never leave reviews, & this was definitely a hidden gem. Was looking for a specific taco truck & accidentally came across Tacos La Guera. I walked up and was greeted by two ladies running the truck whom are very welcoming. I ordered two pastor tacos, two steak tacos & some rice & it was delicious. I say I never leave reviews because I rarely ever do but, these were fire … I eat a lot of tacos around the Austin area & I will definitely be back for these, you could taste the flavor profile in all the ingredients, it wasn’t messy madness, it wasn’t greasy as hell, it was perfect along with a crispy touch to the tortillas. I mean DAMN, go get some consistent great...
