Hartz Chicken Buffet — Restaurant in Phenix City

We used to love the Hartz Chicken in Columbus so we decided to go over to Phenix city and have lunch at that Hartz. Never again!!! The food was horrible. They had no breast or wings on the food bar. I was told the wings are $1.80 each additional to what we already paid for the buffet. That is absolutely absurd!! Everybody don’t eat dark meat chicken. How is a chicken buffet restaurant not going to provide all parts of the chicken for the same price. The sides were terrible. They were not fresh at all. The cornbread tasted horrible and old. The rolls were not the big fluffy yeast rolls that Columbus Hartz used to have. I could not believe it. There were flies flying around everywhere. I asked the lady at the counter who the owner was. She said “Charlie” somebody. I’m not sure about the last name. Anyway, she said he is the same owner that owned the one in Columbus. I told her that Charlie Sucks and we will never again step foot back in this place....

It was my first time eating here,the first red flag should have been Soo many people in a drive thru line at a buffet lol..I asked someone in drive thru,was the chicken good before I went in and they said yes but I didn't know they were referring to the wings at the time,which isn't offered on the buffet.I went in and noticed the buffet only had 2 meat choices, regular fried chicken and spicy fried chicken and the rest of the items on the buffet were basic sides,Mac and cheese,rice, dressing,hard muffins,salad,gravy and peach cobbler.I had a weed head with me and they didn't like anything they ate lol..This buffet is really for someone with little kids,who doesn't want to cook tonight or for someone who can't spend more than $12 bucks...I can't judge their wings because I didn't have any but the buffet ain't it..I did enjoy seeing Soo many brothers and sisters working together...

I was dining alone on New Years day. My foam plate was flimsy and broke spilling some food on the bar. I looked to see if an employee could help but I didn't notice one. So I decided to wait until they came back. An employee came and started cleaning it up. Another lady came behind her and started talking loudly about it was probably me and how nasty I was so everyone could hear. I was too embarrassed by that time to say anything or apologize. She kept staring at me. I was so embarrassed I just cried. It was a terrible experience. She was fussing at me when I walked in the store bc I thanked her for working on a holiday. I was glad she was there. She started saying she wasn't. That set her off. I'm disabled and Gabe a hard time walking or I would have cleaned...
