Krystal — Restaurant in Phenix City

What is going on with today’s customer service? I came to this location because my girls had just finished serving the community with the feed the valley food drive at the Civic Center and they requested this. So being my little princesses wanted crystals and I told them how was my favorite I ordered what they asked for via the mobile app at 11:13 for an 1130 pick up. When I arrive to the location to pick up my order, I was told that it had not come through yet. I have given my name. It was sold again. It was not here, sir. That there was nothing that could be done. I said maybe I should wait a little bit closer to time and then it makes you open the system. I’ve pulled away from the window back around the building and sat for about five minutes. As I’m getting ready to turn around to go back around say drive-through window clerk that has been rude the entire time. Is walking my food up to me. I told her I was coming back around because I had to hurry that my autistic son was having a fit and we needed to get home. I think her and told her to have a blessed day. Almost on the way home I checked my order to see that I have received everything except my 20 piece Nuggets. I called the location back and wouldn’t I know it said drive-through clerk they would not listen to the customer and answer the phone. I explained to her that I received everything except for my chicken nuggets, and she said that it did not say that on the ticket or in her system. I said ma’am, I have it here on the pick up slip and the actual pay receipt that I paid for a 20 piece nugget. She then repeated that there is nothing that she could do. I asked ma’am could you give me my 20 piece nugget. She said there is nothing she could do again. At this point I’m trying to keep from turning into Sgt Harris and raging out. I simply hung up the phone as someone who has been for most of his life in customer service. This was insane and very sad. How hard was it for her to give me my 20 piece nuggets? I am so furious right now that my head is hurting. But I maintained my cool for my daughters and my son to see how you should handle things when they do not go as expected. As you see in the pictures, I have no reason to lie. I just want my nuggets for my children. Customer service is nowhere near what it used to be! The food was Ok for breakfast but it’s nothing to write home about. As far as the the extras such as free WiFi don’t waste your time and money. The WiFi signal Strength so bad it makes it totally useless. I couldn’t even get Krystal’s own home page to load without issues. I used my iPads Speedtest app to see what the problem was. Their provider was BEAM the local cable company. In Phenix City, Alabama was about only about roughly 1/3 to 1/2 mile away. So that wasn’t the problem. I did a signal strength test on the level I was getting. It was only a dismal 10 to 15 percent. The strange part is one minute it would test as 85 percent and seconds later jump all over the place. Strongly recommend you test your WiFi at this location before you try doing anything serious such as accessing your App Store for any program updates. If It tries to update any apps but gets hung up on a lousy Internet connection those apps may be unusable until those apps finally finished being updated. The one Nice part of the restaurant is they have plenty of AC jacks around the outside walls if your device needs it’s battery topped off.

UPDATE: Thinking back wasn’t the Krystal chain one of the very first fast food places to offer free public WiFi services? You would think they would be one of the best in the fast food restaurant industry since they’ve been doing it...

Been working here for awhile and going to school but sadly got fired because I requested prom weekend off and to take a test with my army recruiter... The two managers I called to request the days off (3days) never gotten any information to my head manager known as Henry Kelley. He fired me because he thought I was a no show and just haven't called to inform why I wasn't coming to work. When I finally got there he came at me rude saying where I was and when I explained the situation he started to say how I good worker I was and how he needed me and continued to make jokes about if I was cuttin up at prom... So yes we laughed a bit and shook hands and he even told me to keep my uniform because he is going to overturn me getting fired for the false predicament he gathered in his head. He even took my new number to call me. I was one of the hardest workers there getting paid minimum wage just to do everything and when I mean everything I mean everything.... Yeah the job sucked at times but I made sure I got it done....And called back today to ask if I was terminated and he said yeah like he didn't know me....oh well though better find something else to do and move on if that's how...
