Wendy's — Restaurant in Phenix City

9 PM visit to Wendy's went a little something like this. Ordered food and paid. While waiting for our order, the manager coughed into her hand, with no gloves and never washed her hands. The tall male who was probably around 16-18 was standing in the back by the fridge on his phone showing the front counter person whatever he was looking at, and playing with his twists. He returns to the grill, no gloves and did not wash his hands.

Lady doing the fries was wearing a long black wig. The wig install must have been fresh because she was hitting her head with her bare hand and serving up fries. No gloves again. Same girl takes a tray of fries to the counter behind her, to make cheese fries of some sort and sticks a fry in her mouth. Smacking and talking while chewing over the fries she was making for the drive thru customer.

There were only two people wearing gloves. Maybe they didn't order enough gloves and perhaps they didn't have running water or hand soap. Or, perhaps they just didn't care about being sanitary and other people's health while serving the public.

This all happened while waiting at the counter for our food. Our burgers were raw in the middle and burnt on the outside. There was so much ketchup and mayo it was slipping and sliding. Mayo and ketchup both dripping making impossible to eat like we were civilized at all.

This Wendy's is brand new and the employee's have absolutely no manners and obviously don't care about the customer's they serve in their establishment at all. This was my favorite Wendy's because it's the cleanest and once upon a time (might be on earlier shifts) had employee's that at least pretended like they had some home training.

I am disgusted and will not be returning. I hope this review is read by other customer's so they also will not return. It's a small community and the only Wendy's in our area. You gotta do better! Dave is rolling over in his grave wondering where he...

The only reason this restaurant is getting a star from this post is because this is the only way to leave a comment. I'm not one to usually do this...everyone has bad days but this is well needed. At 11am, a restaurant shouldn't be trashed, especially a brand new restaurant. With five staff (visible) and at least one manager on duty, with no other patrons in the facility, you'd think someone would take the initiative to clean. I ordered the #1 double combo and #5 chicken wrap combo which was served quickly (to go order). $24.00 on two meals! The fries were not warm but cold and old. The burger wasn't warm and the wrap wasn't truly folded, leaving the contents to fall out in the wrapper. The bathroom had no paper towels and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a few shifts with paper all over the floor and a strong urine smell. I mentioned this to the manager and she ignored me and didn't even offer napkins although my hands were dripping wet. Two staff members were talking on their cell phones at the front counter with no regard for customer service. This could explain why the parking lot was empty. I had to pull over to Culvers for fresh fries. I seriously doubt this complaint will help anything but I hope whomever owns this facility takes these ratings and adjusts their management strategy or they will lose out in the location because the area is growing and more opportunities are near. Very poor service, I ordered from my family on my way home from work, I was tired didn’t want to cook because it was so late 8:30pm and they were rude and couldn’t even get my simple order correct. I waited in line to pick up after I paid and watched 5 employees hang out of the drive through pick up window and hand free stuff out to the car in front of me. I heard the order when the car In front of me ordered the 4 for 4. The employees continued to talk and talk laughing loudly to the group of people in the car. I was getting very frustrated waiting so long while I watched the show. When the employees finally handed the last of the supposed order to the car, he dropped an ice cream and the car laughed and drove off. When I pulled up, I was not greeted, but handed my bag of 5 sandwiches for $37, I smiled politely and then asked, is this all, and the young man “nodded” yes, never spoke a word and turned away from me. That’s what I got. I then drove 15 minutes home, opened my bag and my grilled sandwich was missing. I was so frustrated. I am so disappointed that the newest place in Phenix city is being run by kids, with no training, or manners. I will not be back after this experience. I hope the owner or management can turn this around quick, because from what I have just read of the other reviews here…. It’s going down hill fast. Very...
