Asia Express — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Me and my coworkers used to come here all the time. At least a few times a week even but NOT ANYMORE!! The food was ok but the service absolutely horrible and all over a soda. I get lunch specials all the time and they always came with the free soda ( as their menu on all websites still states) Well as I went to grab the soda the man at the counter started yelling at me as if I was stealing. He said that there would be an extra charge but I wasn't made aware of that when I ordered over the phone or when I arrived so I didn't have any extra money on me. The man continued to yell and scream at me and even called me stupid and all while there was a customer eating at the table. I even walked back ( outside of my lunch hour at this point) and showed him printouts of every single menu I had looked at prior to ordering over the phone. The woman started to charge at me with a fist balled up but the man held her back. I couldn't believe it - I have been a long time customer and never had a problem like this but trust me I will NEVER be returning to spend my money here. Because I read on the menu that I could get a soda instead of the wonton soup ( which the menu clearly stated) I had never ordered the wonton soup. Well I didn't have anymore money on me either as i was coming from work just for lunch, THE WOMAN GOES INTO THE BACK, PACKS UP A WONTON SOUP AND THEN THROWS IT AT ME!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I don’t normally write reviews, but with what my family went through after eating at this restaurant, people need to be warned. My mother, husband and I got severe food poisoning within 30 minutes of eating the food. The first bite for all of us was off. We all got different platters and they were all bad. The boneless spare ribs were old! You can tell/taste from the first bite. The smell was even off. The pork fried rice was the same thing. The vegetables tasted off, a dirt like taste mixed with something else. It’s been 2 days and we’re still sick from it. I’m grateful we got the kids something else to eat, otherwise they would’ve been dealing with the same problem.

If you are going to buy food from an establishment, you’d expect it to at least be fresh and edible.

If you’re an establishment serving people and you KNOW for a fact that the meat went bad, throw it away! You can’t serve people bad meat / food. It’s not right. PLEASE, proceed with caution when...

They literally mess up the order, what’s the point of putting regular fries ( that was supposed to be cheese fries ) in a container meant so it doesn’t get messy but put fries in a paper bag that had ketchup on them, yes that meant they even had the audacity to put in ketchup on plain regular fries— what if I didn’t want ketchup on them? I felt so disrespected and disgusted and I didn’t even trust it, I literally picked off the untouched fries.
