4 Every Occasion Cakes & Cupcakes — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I had the absolute best experience with the wonderful ladies at 4 Every Occasion. It was my first time getting a custom cake and of course my son wanted a LEGO one. I presented a picture of what I wanted and wouldn’t you know, his cake looked even better than the initial picture. The entire cake was edible and the LEGO bricks were made of chocolate. The fondant taste great...and the cake....My Lawd... it was divine. It was both chocolate and vanilla - alternating tiers. The cake was moist and packed with flavor. The buttercream on the inside melted right in my mouth. I even had a small bit left over. It survived quite well, wrapped up in the fridge, and totally maintained its moisture. Ms. Anitria has some kind of miracle in those fingertips of hers and yes, I will be back! Do yourself a favor and visit...TODAY. Did I mention they have these lemon cookies that are to die for too? And a pound cake that makes you want to reach out and touch somebody! I love this bakery and I am so thankful that they were a big part in making my baby’s birthday extra special. It was so cute listening to the kids request their cake slices, “I’ll have a slice of vanilla and two chocolate bricks please!” LOL #ForeverMemories...

I was researching for a bakery that did specialty cakes and wasn't impressed by the other bakery everyone else was referring (no bus throwing so name will be mentioned) which I've tried before. I came across this business and was equally impressed by the back story and the entrepreneur is an Nubian Queen, sooo I was like "oh most definitely will try". The cake was aesthetically pleasing and equally scrumptious. I am not a big fan of cake because I usually find cake too dry and icing too sweet but this cake was the perfect balance. The owner even called me prior to the pick up time to ask if she could "jazz" the cake up a bit more by adding the silver dots you see. I said "jazz" away and that was something she did not have to do but that was something only a true artist would do and was much appreciated. I asked those attending before I had a chance to try the cake, how it was and that I needed an honest answer because I wanted to know if I should use the business again and everyone said the cake was delicious. So, there you have it from now on for every occasion you have my business ( you see what i did there...haha) Thank you and...

I've had their cake before and it was simply delicious. Yesterday I ordered a cake for my son's 18th bday. My total was $150 (for what he wanted), however after much thought we decided to just get the regular (no fancy stuff) so I called and asked if I could possibly change the style or flavor of the cake to lower the price, mind you I put half of the deposit down. I was told that since the price was already in the system, it couldn't be adjusted. I repeated that I did not want a refund, only to lower the price, and was told that I would receive a refund, and could purchase a cake from somewhere else. What kind of business is that?! I was not scheduled to pick up the cake until next week, (10 days) from the day I placed my order. I didn't realize it was that hard to adjust the price in the system, especially for an order that was placed over a week in advance. You would rather lose my business, then to adjust the price. So much for supporting our people, especially during Black History Month. Needless to say, I will not be...
