I always enjoyed eating at your restaurant but the last months of last year 2017, I had a terrible experience with the dish I ordered, I’m not the type of person to complain but today January 9th, 2018 I went there and ordered a Ceviche Mixto again and it wasn’t the best quality, first of all it was dry with no juice but they place a spoon on the plate which makes no sense, what am I suppose to do it that spoon, if the best part of Ceviche Mixto supposed to be the juice that sits on the bottom. Also usually there’s a waitress that sits you down but then two other waitresses come help you out or try to take my order, customer service is very poor as well, they don’t even come check how you’re doing, if there’s anything else you need or maybe a refill, I ordered a glass of water but they brought me a bottle of water, I don’t mind paying that dollar for water and I’m not a cheap person either but I just needed a glass of water that’s all, they forgot my lemon in my water too, then the second waitress passes by so I asked for a few slices of LEMON and she brings me limes. Then at the end i waited for my check and no one came by to ask if I needed anything else, a few minutes later the other waitress passes by and sits down at the front, I’m already disappointed in the food and customer service, so I asked my first waitress for the check and she finally brings it after I waited for so long. I’m not asking for anything but maybe you guys need to re-train your staff members on how to provide better Customer Service the right way and I don’t know if you guys have a new Chef but the Ceviche Mixto I had at the end of last year and today, wasn’t cooked right, seafood tasted not fresh at all. You won’t be seeing me at your restaurant anymore and you have lost a loyal client, I rather travel all away to North Jersey and get better service and food...

Horrible experience would not recommend this place at all!!! From the customer service to the food. My husband, my self and our kids decided to go for a nice dinner but this place made it not so nice.. let’s start by how we waited to be seated about 20-30 minutes not being acknowledged at all the guy at the front didn’t even remember I told him a table for 5 the whole time their was an empty table of 6. Once we sat we waited about another 10 minutes for a waitress to also acknowledge us just for our drinks. Once we gave the waitress our order he wrote all of it down and repeated it all back to me so I thought they would have gotten our order correctly. Once our food came out after an hour and a half of waiting we noticed one of our child’s food was missing Not to mention that the waitress who brought our food out wasn’t even the same waitress who took our order when I told her about the missing plate she didn’t know what was going on she said she will check in the back for me she left and never came back. After another 10 minutes the waitress who took our order was By attending another table so I called over and also told him about the missing plate he said he will go check he came back and said that order was never put it due to system mistake.....! Would we like to wait for it that it will be done quickly. My husband got angry and couldn’t even eat his food which was bland btw didn’t taste Peruvian or Portuguese at all he asked for a discount the waitress went to the back I guess to ask the manager he came back to tell us all he can do is offer us a free dessert smh!! Once my sons food came out so quickly because my husband said he would walk out and not pay the steak wasn’t cooked right! Overall bad experience and would not recommend to anyone...would not be going back...

I’m an experienced cook and have to say that this place is a disgrace. There were no napkins, condiments, straws, or utensils on the table after receiving beverages. Water isn’t given unless requested, which is uncommon in casual dining restaurants. After requesting for these things, my guest and I had to patiently wait for ā€œoneā€ untrained server to finish tending three tables while watching a bartender stock alcohol in a bar with no customers. In addition to their horrible hospitality, the food was horrible. The tostones that contains shrimp were tasteless, rubbery, and dry. It is very noticeable that their food is precooked, then refrigerated. What upset me the most of their food is their Sopa de Marisco. For $50, you get about ten small shrimps, three clams, three mussels, chopped up scallops, a barely visible portion of fish, and half of a baby lobster without its tail. That’s right! No meat was inside the upper half of the lobster including it’s tiny claws. This soup is a complete rip-off as it’s basically 90 percent cream and a very small portion of seafood. It does not fulfill two people (as claimed) for my guest and I had to order other meals also. The soup isn’t even worth $25. I have eaten in this place numerous of times years ago, as their food was great, but I now have to say that it fell off by a large margin. I guess COVID is the...

Food is good. Service needs to improve. Ladies have attitude and they don't really care about customer satisfaction. I am here now, requested to have a different seat due a cold air coming from outside. They only have 3 tables busy and the rest are empty. We are a party of 5 and we can't get a corner table because is for 7. Unbelievable the attitude how people say things and are not customer service emphasize. My server, a Domican lady yield at me because when she brought the bread and I had moved the bread plates on the side and put the appetizers plates instead. She told me "If you used them I am not to bring more of those plates because they are not for the bread". I usually tip properly but today I think it will be different. I called a friend of mine asking for the owner name and I learned her name is Patricia. I hope Patricia will be aware of these type of things.

What a shame . We have been coming to balconcito for 7 years . Always had amazing Peruvian food . They used to give warm bread and butter . With the years it has gone downhill . We went from going twice or 3 time s a month to three times a year. And every time it has been horrible for the last year. Today being the last time we ever come. Service is horrible . No bread anymore . The lomo saltado has got to be the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had . Dry meat, and it tasted very very cheap , no balance of soy sauce and vinagre . It just tasted like a vinagre sauce . The tallarines verdes were so watered down they were pale and tasted nothing but like plain noodles with a hin of pesto. What a waste of a place . It used to be good!

This place was amazing! I've passed this restaurant so many times. No fancy signs. Very assuming. But came Friday evening and there were a good number of people inside. The bar was full and half the tables filled. The staff were nice and the food was delicious. Ordered a mixed paella and sweet plantains. The paella had clams, mussels, chicken, beef, sausage, shrimp, and half a lobster. The size was huge!! My friend and I shared it for dinner, and each of us had a whole serving to take home. Definitely could feed 3-4 people for $34. The flavor of the paella was very good. They also ask if you want it wet, dry, or medium.
