Dress Up Time — Local services in Philadelphia

I went into get a Mother of the Bride gown for my daughter's upcoming July wedding. I bought a gown and when I got it home I felt it was to snug. I went to shop and asked if they would exchange it . After crying and salesgirl calling owner they let me exchange it for another gown that I spent more on. Fast forward 2 weeks my daughter( The Bride) fell and broke her knee cap and had to surgery 45 days before her weddng I again called the shop explaining what had occurred and asked if it would be possible to bring gown back because I now can't wear it since plans changed and I did have an upcoming affair in October that I thought I could get something else instead. I asked for a gown exchange that was cheaper than what I spent and I didn't leven care about the money. I was told NO. All Sales are Final. Well how is it that every Department store from Saks, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom all take dresses back. They tried to say it's because of Covid. Well how ridiculous when the dress was still in the bag with the tags on. Best part she sold me a size 18 when I'm a 12 and the cost of alterations would have been very expensive. If anyone needs a Jovani Gown Size 18 with tags I'll sell ya it 1/2 price. Never have I ever experienced anything like this in my entire life especially when I work customer service for decades. My daughter was looking for a dress for her senior prom and we live in the area so she stopped in. She had a particular dress in mind that she found online and she knew that they had it. The dress was around $640.00. She asked the sales person if they had this dress and her first comment was "that is a very expensive dress". Again, she knew the price, she could afford the dress. She proceeded to try on the dress and she was watched like a hawk, and yelled at again for the dress touching the floor as it was so expensive. They sales people treated my daughter as if she was not good enough to be in their store. I absolutely will never shop in this store, ever and I will continue to advise everyone who asks my opinion to never shop at this store. I have 2 daughters who were shopping for dresses this year, and we will shop again next year. I spent well over the $640.00 that was the asking price of this particular dress at another store and we were treated properly as human beings should be. So thank you Dress up Time for your horrible service and know that we will never come to your store again. Keep in mind going forward that you should never judge anyone or treat people as is they are...

After searching high and low to find my daughter prom dress, I am happy to say that me & my husband was able to leave out as satisfied customers at dress up time. This place has a beautiful selection of items and all very reasonably priced, and spacious fitting area. Carmella and Maria were both very patient with me and my family, unlike other places. They seemed very eager to help and Carmella helped my daughter chose the best dress she loved. Also which stood out the most is that they did not look down on us or seem bothered by the fact that we had to bring our other small children with us unlike most of the other places we visited.
