Captain's Choice — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Twice now I've been told at this place that they "can't". All I wanted was two pieces of broiled stuffed flounder and a baked potato. I was told by the new owner "Kim" that I had to buy 2 platters. Seriously??? Why would I buy 2 platters for one person. They will not deviate. They just won't. Before this it was about the new fried chicken. So I said to the lady I will purchase my seafood at Rhawn & Frankford at Seafood Harbour. They made exactly what I wanted and did so without an attitude. Captains Choice is only interested in those beer cases and the folks that buy that! The previous owners of Captains Choice would accommodate. They were business folks. That's why I was going there from their beginnings. Around 35 yrs or so. So...

Owners are suppperrr nice & friendly and always remember me and my daughter whenever we go in there. DELICIOUS seafood especially for quick, takeout service and the prices make it even more amazing.

They also offer takeout for alcohol as well and have a very large selection of beers & wines to choose from. They also have a great lottery selection with tickets both behind the counter as well as in a machine.

Also right next door to Twistee Treat, the giant ice cream cone shaped ice cream stand.

I love supporting local businesses and captain's choice is on of my go to spots for beer or a seafood platter. He definitely has great prices on beer. He also sells wine as well as other alcohol drinks and cigarettes. My only complaint is that when you order the fried flounder platter they always give such a tiny amount of fries not even a handful of fries. I wish they would give you more fries with the meal. Also there the only place in the Mayfair area in my knowledge that sells cups of Philadelphia water ice all year around which I...
