As if they think folks have infinite money and time. Management and the team act as if theyād never been in a kitchen before much less were prepared to open a shop. I say this as someone who has been core opening staff for fast food. Somewhat common gigs. Other past managers were there as well, knowing the hour wait for multiple orders of just fries and drinks at tines was likely due to management.
For any staff faults, like how a delivery of mine was certainly cold, waiting behind one of the staff members for nearly an hour as I was waiting for a 2nd one; As I was handed a half melted slushie. The managers still hire, train, and in THIS instance OVERSEE the staff. Why was management not aware orders were sitting that long? These were uber eats orders as well. Not my own.
I admittedly and foolishly thought I could order a quick (it wasnāt) fry order while I waited for burgers to finish. But the largest fry. Fries had not been cooking for half the time I and other waiting customers were in the storeā¦. Much less the AMOUNT needed. Staff was somehow unaware of orders that were pending, although Iām sure they have a semi automated system for it. And, if they donāt⦠MANAGEMENT⦠They were not understaffed, they were underprepared and ill equipped. Communication wasnāt even proper with customers. Customers should have known the bad news, so those who needed to, could go elsewhere. Instead it was just ācoming right outā. Idk what non existent customer service training modules teach thatā¦
After all the waiting, aside from my one delivery clientās food certainly being cold (luckily the 1st was not), I did actually get the fries right after, but it was the wrong size, after correcting the crew member, Iām almost certain theyād dumped the large fry into the XL container. Classic lazy/rushed/or panicked staff move. Again, Iāve lived this a few times. But, u donāt do that stuff.
As I was going to cancel the order, I did not think to stress the issue that didnāt sit well from when Iād held the bag, but I had orders to deliver. One that might have already been cold (it certainly wasnāt hot). The fry cup was barely 2/3 full, while signage in store shows it spilling over and the original large container WAS spilling over⦠If this is policy for a $6 order of fries, I may just not want to go to any checkers now. (But, I donāt think thatās what happened)
Now, like most people from tonight, Iām certain Iām never returning to this checkers and Iām not sure if Iāll be going to any. At least not in this area. That was too chaotic from management to lower staff to simply be a one store issue. And, if this was opening night, the area manager should be present, if able. There notably was a manager or someone in a different uniform running numbers or training in the back rather than assisting on the floor. Iām rarely this targeted with statements on establishments, but there was too much to ignore. Major piece of FREE advice; turn off the deliver orders. And, in general, if you are an HOUR backed up on orders, STOP TAKING NEW ONES! People are more disappointed by an hour wait for something that takes 5-10 minutes MAX to cook rather than not getting the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is horrible. I went there on Monday 09/05/16 at 11:15pm the workers (all three guys) were laughing and playing around. I had to wait for my food for 30 minutes for a checker burger and fries and a drink. The one talk worker was on his phone the whole time, the short worker he looked like the manager was trying to flirt with me while I am waiting for my food. I finally got my food and went home and my food was wrong. I did not get what I ordered. I came back and the short worker that looked like the manager, I told him that this is not a checker burger and he took the bag and threw it, and said we don't have anymore food. He did not want to give me money back. I had to plead my case just to get my money back. When I got home I was drinking the soda and there were flies in my drink that is nasty. This checkers is dirty please don't get your food from this location. The workers did not even where gloves while handling your food. I work in restaurants today and the way thery was handling was not correct. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HEAR... Save your money and go...

Either I failed math in high school or there is a special checkers tax that I'm just now learning about. The man at the teller window rudely told me to "look over the menu and wait until he was ready". After everything was done, they messed up my order and I had to come back to get the right sandwhich. The teller thought he was witty and gave me an attitude when I told him they didn't give me what I payed for. When he took the sandwhich back he put it on the serving counter and didn't immediately throw it away; This gave me the impression that they might've tried to serve it to someone else (HUGE FOOD SAFETY VIOLATION!). Please do not come here. Take the extra 6-7 minutes to go to the North Broad Street Checkers which is superior in every way possible. The district manager seriously needs to review his/her employees here knowing how many negative reviews this...
