I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now. It’s like the best Chinese take out in south Philly. No matter what time of the day you go they’re always busy. We love their fried chicken wings, sesame chicken, shrimp and broccoli. We used to go a lot more often before covid then we’ve notice since covid the prices went up like crazy. We used to be able to get 4 wings and fried rice platter for like $6 but about 2 months or so ago we went and paid $12.50 for 5 wings with no fried rice which is a bit steep. Their lunch special used to be like $6 now it went up by about 20-25% post covid and I’ve also notice the shrimps are much smaller in sizes. Flavor wise it’s still as good but I feel like if you going to charge more at least give me the same size shrimp. Don’t charge more and give less that’s just not right.

Finding your favorite Chinese spot is a task that I am now ready for. China House was recommended as a go to spot...but I didn’t have that feeling of home. Ordered the General Tso platter and...yeah. I probably won’t go back. If you love this place, suggest a good item and I’ll consider going again. Finding your favorite Chinese spot is a task that I am now ready for. Haven’t had Chinese take out for quite a while. Decided to have some wings and shrimp roll today and I’m glad I’ve ordered from here. The food is amazingly good. The wings are crunchy and juicy. The shrimp roll has enough shrimp in it. Will order again next time.

THESE REVIEWS ARE MISLEADING. I find it interested that this place has so many 5 star ratings. While the customer service is superb for a take out joint, the food is mediocre at best. I saw on yelp that the hot and sour soup and beef chow mein were suggested items by a yelper, so I decided to give them a go.

The chow mein has an off putting viscosity, and an overpowering floral scent and taste. I took 3 bites, and decided not to continue. So i decided to put that down and try thevsoup.

While the soup looked appetizing, The hot and sour soup has this putrid & sour smell and taste of rotten raw beef. I know the soup is hot and sour, but I'm hoping the beef they used isn't.

I managed to salvage the meal with the General Tso's chicken (an item that nearly cannot be messed up). The meat was fried perfectly, rendering it crunchy even after being coated with sauce and sitting for the 20 minute car ride back.

With that being said, I have had way better experiences at Chinese take out restaurants in Philly. I was generous with my 3 star review, considering only 1/3 of my meal was edible. Personally speaking; I'm not going to a take out restaurant for the customer service, I'm going for the food. This...

I born and raised in South Philly so I am very familiar with this restaurant. When I moved out of the neighborhood more than 15 years ago, I would take the 20-25 minute drive down to get their food. At that time I was ordering the shrimp fried rice and the chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce. Yummy in my tummy.

I am happy to report that after all the years of business, their food is still very good.

I placed a large order of food for myself and 3 others. We had General Tso’s chicken, pork dumplings, shrimp lo mein, shrimp and broccoli, pizza rolls, and shrimp egg rolls (well kinda of).

I took away a star because I ordered 3 shrimp egg rolls but only one had a shrimp in it. Yes, as big as the egg roll was, there was one very small shrimp at the bottom. The other two rolls had zero shrimp and I didn’t order a regular egg roll. They were still good especially with the duck sauce but I asked for and paid for shrimp rolls. I’m not...

Food was okay decent size shrimp and broccoli but other then that bland. Large meal with small rice. Rolls were too oily and greasy. Pink lemonade was slightly more watery. Customer service was horrible, they don’t let you know it’s cash only in advance. Called in advance just talking loud and hung up quickly. Expect that from most Chinese stores in Philly. No atm in store. Took people behind me as I’m waiting in line again to get utensils and napkins that I asked for in the first place, when I went to out to get cash and came back, which should automatically be given. I had a feeling to check my bag. Younger woman at the counter was quiet but the one behind the counter, an older woman, was just yelling all over the place, dizzy, rude and ghetto. Would not come back. Not worth the ignorance for...
