I asked for a Cortado with oat milk and I was surprised by the size of it, since I was charged $4.60, I asked how many shots of espresso it had and the barista said it’s only one! Very strange because Cortado is a universal name and measurement, 2 shots of espresso and equal amount of milk. When I stated this she said “oh you don’t want a cortado, you want a cappuccino” as if it’s my fault or I don’t know what I’m ordering. And I had to say it’s a Cortado with two shots and same measurements as before. The 2 baristas were just quiet made me another one and they didn’t charge me extra even though I offered. So I added another $2 tip to my previous $1.40 tip. But there was this awkward silence and no smiles or interaction, just made me very uneasy. While she was making the coffee I showed her a description of what Cortado is on Google and said to her, sorry I didn’t want to be a pain but when I say Cortado I assume it will be the same as everywhere else in the states and all over Europe or Australia etc. She brushed me off saying her boss wants it this way. Ok maybe the boss can see this also and make the correct amendment and serve the right Cortado measurements how it is done everywhere else and not charge for $4.60 for just a small gulp of coffee! Very disappointing and I will not...
Read moreThe latte quality is amazing! So happy to have a latte with the right milk consistency (not a cup half full of foam). Their latte art and the beautiful desserts are straight up instagram worthy. I didn't get to try any of the baked goods on my first trip there, but I'll definitely be back because they have some unique options and I'm very curious about the cheddar cheese mousse. I couldn't find their hours listed online yet, but they open at 7:30am - a little earlier than some other coffee options in the neighborhood, which is nice. I didn't catch the closing time though. Their latte price was also about a dollar cheaper than other nearby coffee options, which adds up if you're a daily latte...
Read moreThis is hands down the best coffee shop in NoLibs. We discovered it over a year ago and have been going at least once a week ever since. I rarely get matcha out because so few places actually use good quality matcha and make it properly, but CNT does all of the above. They have monthly rotating flavor specials for coffee and matcha that are always incredible and made from scratch. The shop is also super dog friendly and our pup literally drags us down the street to go there anytime...
