I was going to give them a play because they are a black business I've never been to.I wanted to see a menu.I asked for a menu. The young man just start saying what they had in store which I could see through the glass. But I wanted to order on another day as i could see they were about to close ( they were putting things away and doing dishes) That is why I asked for a menu. They have a large fan going on there.So when the lady walked over I asked her for the menu. I could not hear what she said.So I said excuse me.I couldn't hear you. Her reply was.We don't have a menu don't you understand. She was extremely rude the way she said it. So I will not be going there to buy anything and I will make sure to tell people that i know she is rude. Who wants to be talked to like they are an issue when they are a potential new customer. My husband went to the Lancaster ave location and ordered a pork rib platter. We received a beef rib platter . I called the location to let them know of the mistake and that we would keep the food. Then a lady got on the phone stating there were only 2 workers and they didn't remember my husband. I described his appearance and a guy then stated that he remembered him and that he was drunk which was incorrect. He obviously tried to use that as an excuse for his error. The lady then kinda spoke about if we were not going to bring the food back then way were we on the phone. I again wanted them to be careful when serving and that we would be there later this week to purchase pork ribs. My family has enjoyed Dwight's since I was a teenager and now in my sixties. This place is a Hit or Miss. If you’re in the neighborhood and have a taste for BBQ definitely stop in . When it’s great it great and when it’s bad .... it’s soooo bad! They’re slow, customer service is ☹️ and it’s always hot in there😩🥵 If the line is out the door they probably have everything but if the door is open and you don’t see a line .....they’re probably preparing for tomorrow or the food will be ready much later on that day.😩 I use to go here with my Mom when I was little a girl. I remember standing in line with number in hand. They should bring that system back. This was a Black Business that was thriving back in the day and I remember feeling excited and proud💪🏾.
