Erkie's Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

After going to erkey's in the morning I was charged $50 for three small side containers every time I ask for the order that I wanted I was never given what I asked to pay for The lady up the front never addressed my issues when I asked her a question I asked her about a priceless and something that we can physically see the store does not offer a menu for the customers they do not offer a price list these women are punching their numbers on the keypad as they go this is poor advertisement the store is dirty the women are nasty with attitudes except for the one that's in the back cooking cuz she's always nice and polite but the women that they have up the front servicing you or horrible I paid $50 for food that was not good and the portions were extremely small The store is not clean and the women that are up the front they don't wear gloves they talk over top of your food they cough they are handling the food poorly the gentleman that came up the front that was supposed to assist me got frustrated when I asked him to please explain to me what size was it that he gave me for something that I paid for it I paid $11 for an ounce of saltfish and achy when I asked for a medium size with a different side he refused to sell it to me that way because it was their rules is what he said at this point someone needs to go in there and require them to have a priceless for your customers to see how can you advertise or sell food and we don't know what we're paying for and when we ask the young ladies are not clear on what it is that they're giving us that lady looked me in my face for 15 minutes I stood there while they had a customer line of over about 8 or 9 people to try to address my issue he could not function with the register to give me a refund back so at this point because it was cold in the morning 8:30 I couldn't leave my children in the car anymore I just said give me the order they'll tell you what you cannot purchase together but they do not have a priceless for you to decide or a menu available for you to pick what it is that you want poor advertisement poor customer service don't know how to work the equipment their portion is are very small I will not ever go...

Yesterday, I went to Erkie's for the first and LAST time. I purchased 2 large oxtail platters that cost me $47.00. The woman that took the order is extremely unprofessional with selective hearing. When I placed the order, she told me the cabbage would be ready in 15 min. I picked up my order a little over 1/2 hour and then her story changed. She then said the cabbage was not there but was on the way. She asked would I like plantains or mixed vegetables instead. I opted for the mixed vegetables. However, I did not know they were frozen veggies and not fresh. I was also surprised that at least 1-2 strips of plantains were not complimentary as they are in other Jamaican restaurants. Then I saw 2 women come in with 2 huge bags of uncooked cabbage and head to the back. I mean why lie about the cabbage being ready in 15 minutes knowing the cabbage was not even in the building and then came in uncooked. REALLY!!!!!!!!!! This was by far the worst Jamaican food that I HAVE EVER HAD. The oxtails were tough, rice mushy, and God awful frozen mixed vegetables. I called to complain and was met with an attitude and absolutely no accountability, The same woman that served me was the one on the phone. She did not offer in any way to right the wrong. She was extremely rude, unaccommodating and offered no resolution. I will not ever patronize this establishment again. Thank you for basically taking my $47 and delivering food not even suitable for a dead person. My money is better spent in places that deliver quality products and not one where one is met with resistance and out...

This use to be the best Jamaican restaurant in West Philadelphia; now, it's definitely the worst Jamaican restaurant in West Philadelphia. Ordered on 10/12/2024 had Jerk Chicken and Ordered curry goat; The chicken, the saltiest Jerk Chicken I ever had and, It was very dry. The Mac and Cheese wasn't homemade, the Cabbage wasn't good either.

Haven't ordered here in a year, they need to do better, until then, I'm definitely not going back, 50$ wasted; please avoid Erkie's, I don't recommend anyone ordering from this so called Jamaican Restaurant...
